I'm lying nude on the snow with a crisp mirror reflection of Crater Lake behind me. It was so calm, no wind, and it was relatively warm, about 60F.

It was so quiet I could hear these gray jays scratching their feet in the snow as they tackled the treats I tossed.

I hiked 3 or 4 miles to get to this spot overlooking the Mountain Lakes Wilderness of southern Oregon. I'm striking an energetic nude pose with a backdrop of a mountainside holding on to a few last spots of snow. My pose matches the angle of the rock scree behind me.

A large rock, somewhat triangular in shape, clings to the edge of a cliff overlooking the Rogue River valley. Spherical rocks stick out of the cliff like large pimples - I believe these are concretions, formed by precipitation of minerals around an object like a bone or leaf.

I was experimenting with shooting Crater Lake through a glass globe when a gray jay bird flew in and landed on it! It made several comic attempts to land on the slick surface. These birds are very friendly and known to steal food and objects from campsites.

I found this old steam engine header plate and dragged it out for some photos. The round plate has circular holes that originally held the ends of tubes in the steam engine. Here, they allow sunlight to cast a holey pattern on my nude skin. I kneel before it, almost in worship. I kept the plate and it's a lawn ornament now!

I'm kneeling in a small creek under a mossy log. White fabric is looped over the log and drifts in the creek around me. Many photographers use this type of translucent fabric on windy days - I decided to try using water instead of air to make the fabric dance.

Two of my favorite self portraits, incorporating "ocean motion" with a 1/2 second exposure. These are from 2018 - just went back to these yesterday for fresh edits. My editing skills have improved and so have Lightroom features. #selfportrait #fineartnude #ocean

I'm kneeling in an implied nude pose on a beach as the waves roll in across my body. Beautiful clouds and fog make the sky interesting behind rugged sea stacks. The water motion is blurred by the 1/2 second exposure.

Same idea here, just a standing pose and different wave action.

This remote lake is actually one of the most popular areas of this Wilderness area, but I had it all to myself. The lake water is crystal clear with a tinge of aqua, like the Caribbean. I'm standing on rocks sticking out of the water, striking a pose like maybe I was bowling. LOL
