Thinking about how when we dropped “Catgirl in the House of Evil” back in 2023, I was truly on my most toxic arc. Those three songs are just: 1. Angry song I wrote about my ex 2. “I fuck a lot and don’t give a fuck what you think” 3. “I have a gun!!” Shit rules man

People need to stop saying the bridge in Moongazer quotes "Future Breed Machine" by Meshuggah. None of the notes or rhythms are the same. Besides, I ripped it off from Emmure

It is Bandcamp Friday. I recommend celebrating by buying Dark Arms Reach Skyward With Bone White Fingers II: Be (Not) Afraid by @annapest.bsky.social This album is so engaging. If the genre tags are offputting, try it regardless. This isn't what you expect. annapest.bandcamp.com/album/dark-a...

This album is an invitation, extended in the hope that you might catch a glimpse of yourself reflected in it, and realize what I have come to realize over the past five years: that as fellow human beings, there is more that connects us than that which divides us.

140

Anna Pest @annapest.bsky.social · 29/12/2025

I wrote and recorded this album in the span of a single year with the blessings and help of my dear friends and bandmates, Colin and John. Completing it in time for Dark Arms I’s 5-year anniversary was my 2025 New Year’s resolution. Adhering to this goal helped to give my life structure and purpose.

Anna Pest @annapest.bsky.social · 29/12/2025

Dark Arms Reach Skyward With Bone White Fingers was an immensely important album for me. Five years on, I felt it was time to revisit this universe in a manner informed by the lessons it taught me and the changes I have undergone since. This is both an expansion and an inversion of that universe.

This new record contains the best-written lyrics and best-written/sounding music that I have ever composed, and it's not particularly close

030

Anna Pest @annapest.bsky.social · 13/11/2025

Guitar tone on the new record hits like a ton of bricks.

Anna Pest @annapest.bsky.social · 10/11/2025

Attention! We'll be performing a matinee at Turbo Haüs on December 7, 2025, with local punk rock legends Brain Size 61 (featuring my father on guitar and my uncle on vox)! We'll also be playing a couple of brand new, previously unreleased songs ~ Be there or be there!

Anna Pest @annapest.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

We firmly believe that a band should be a group of fierce friends first and a business second. That's how we came together at the start, and to this, we'll continue to hold fast. [6/6] With love, April H, Colin & John

Anna Pest @annapest.bsky.social · 03/11/2025

Anna Pest will continue to write, perform, and record as a three-piece for the time being. Whenever the right person approaches us, we'll be pleased to welcome a new bass player into the fold—but we have no plans to rush it. [5/6]
