“…Are you enjoying the weather?…” I think this question from a B Corp representative yesterday has been the final piece of info that I needed to make up my mind to NOT recertify.

Wondering if generative AI is just another thing that’s been “planted” in our world to divide us? I do hate all those posters though, for all the environmental reasons, for stealing the work of human artists and because they just look bloody awful!

Both! Although mainly folky stuff.

Haven’t shared any music stuff on here for a while. Last night I was playing violin at a ceilidh in Bradford on Avon, today I’m at Llandogo village fete….. #rocknrollstar #ontheroad

The brief for this recent commission: “…I have a selection of old family gold rings with several diamonds… I would love you to come up with something very ‘organic, wide and rustic that I can wear all the time. Not fine or conventionally pretty but standing out quietly…”

First signs of spring 2025! I planted these snowdrops and hellebores 2/3 years ago (can’t remember exactly) and they’re finally starting to flower. They’re so beautiful! 😄 🌱 🌺

This looks like a fantastic film & they are looking for hosts to screen it. #ACTionism is a film about the art of finding your people to take collective action. About collectively moving from passive consumers to active citizens. #ReActionCollective youtu.be/BUa2PBy0wog?... Host a screening 👇

I’m just trying to avoid news all together. It’s too horrible.

010

Anna @annamcloughlin.co.uk · 23/01/2025

Sharing this because I need to get over the imposter syndrome. I always think it must sound terrible when I sing or play my fiddle, especially at an open mic where the audience were just ignoring us, but actually having seen this, it’s not terrible, it’s almost verging on ok! 🎻🥁🎶🪕

Trying to learn to all these wonderful tunes. I learned classical violin and I’m just in awe of the amazing folks that can play all this by ear.

Having some of today “off work” as I worked yesterday. Making a violin blanket for my second hand Bam case as it didn’t come with one. It’s an old travel towel doubled up with some sari fabric on the side that goes against my fiddle. 🎻

River Ring… 💍 A bespoke “River Ring” that I finished just before Christmas. 💎 It’s recycled and remodelled silver and 9ct yellow gold, based on a section of the river Wye, with the sapphire set in a special place.
