The roads in central Ljubljana were closed to traffic in 2004, making a wonderfully calm and cycleable city. The fountain in the second picture used to be a roundabout. 0250

Slovenia’s coastline is so small that if you look one way, there’s Croatia, and the other way it’s Italy. There are no sand beaches but you can climb off the rocks into the sea, which is warm and clear 🌊 1151
