They mayor is actually very progressive. “Tax breaks for developers” seems to be the most substantial issue the DSA has with him. My theory is the main issue is that one of their own wants to be mayor.

This piece mischaracterizes the Ann Arbor mayoral race. The incumbent has actually done more for affordable housing through dedicating underused city land and a local property tax that he championed than the DSA candidate is articulating in any policy statement.
