Welcome to my page! I'm a left-leaning voice exploring politics, policy, and social issues through a social work lens. I’m passionate about community care, justice, and systemic change, and one day, I plan to run for office. For now, this space is about conversation, learning, and collective growth.

I really want to run, but I'm a sexual minority in a blood red state, in the buckle of the bible belt. I have so many ideas, but I'm scared that I not only wouldn't win, but that running would backfire for me and my family.

Might I suggest an alternative—the em dash. It—the aforementioned em dash—is a quite versatile bit of punctuation, acting as a comma, parentheses, semicolon, and colon—all in one! It's also underutilized in typical writing, and therefore in AI generated outputs, making it all the more unique

First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist Then they came for the Socialists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist . . . Then they came for me And there was no one left To speak out for me - Martin Niemöller

It fluctuates, but it seems to be solid right now, which is a nice change of pace

I'm just old enough to have lived in the transition period where restaurants stopped allowing indoor smoking. Wild that even smoking on a plane was a regular thing for decades

I struggled with eating disorders my whole life, so the first part is something that I'm only just now attempting, but regular exercise has helped me tremendously
