I have already read a book to my nephew at 5 days old; he is a little scrunched up bean who doesn't know what's going on but it's never too early to expose them to speech, sound, emotion, etc. It was so fun and I can't wait until he can follow along!

Julie says "Waste of time and money. Sadly this was the worst show I have ever seen. We actually left half way through. The singers dragged lyrics in songs that made it sound awful. I'm sure these performers do better at music more their age range. Oh and please quit saying 'totally tubular'. We didn't say that phrase at all like they used it."

The most efficiency-wrecking part of food delivery is when you have a pickup from a restaurant that's running on a skeleton crew, so you end up waiting behind a ton of other delivery orders and suddenly 30 minutes of the dinner rush window is gone and you haven't driven to the customer yet

My theory about this: there's a "do not love the world" passage in the Bible that gets interpreted literally, like you're not supposed to do anything to the benefit of nature or Earth as a planet. "Heaven is better so we can trash this place" mentality

I think it can empower on its own, even. I have a stronger will to do good things if the music I'm listening to is encouraging awareness or kindness. It's an escape *and* a motivator, but it's justified either way

A popular critical view of "positive" entertainment seems to be that it pacifies the masses and is therefore meaningless, or even damaging. I think art that is uplifting makes the world feel like it's worth living in. We're just little organisms with feelings after all.
