'Injustice' is a very unfortunate choice of words from Craig Gordon. Unfortunate or incendiary and dangerous. It is particularly disappointing he would post that while away with Scotland. Instead of fostering togetherness for the World Cup, he's chosen to fuel conspiracy theories

Assume this is the XI for tonight. Given the lack of options, Ralston/Donovan is probably the only real decision for O'Neill unless he wants to beef up the midfield and start Bernardo, moving Nygren wide right, Yang to the left and Tounekti to the bench.

000

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 14/12/2025

This is the team I'd like to see today. You could perhaps swap around the box midfield, or even play Engels wide right and Yang further forward, but that's the XI that combines form with suitability.

000

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 11/12/2025

My sort of realistic suggestion/prediction for tonight's team. I don't think Nancy will make major changes at this stage, but a few adjustments will be necessary. The main doubts being on the flanks and the forward positions.

000

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 21/11/2025

I think the board got exactly what they wanted today. They sat down (those of them who bothered to turn up), raised their middle fingers at the support and then used the inevitable reaction as an excuse to shut the whole thing down before they could face any questions.

I wonder if Nancyball might look a bit like this... I know some have reservations about 3-4-3 / 3-4-2-1, but I think it gives some interesting options and flexibility, while playing to the strengths of some players in the squad (obviously not all and recruitment as ever is key). (With players fit)

- Been a long time since our striking options were this poor - Hopefully one of Balikwisha/Tounekti/Maeda can establish themselves on the right - Hopefully Saracchi proves competent - Hope to see Donovan/Murray get a run ahead of Ralston/Scales - Sinisalo no.1 by end of season

000

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 10/08/2025

Team I expect / team I'd pick - Rodgers has all but confirmed JSP won't start. - The only real questions are at centre forward and right wing. - Interested to see if Inamura makes the bench this week. - Hopefully we'll see Shin on the pitch at some point.

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 06/08/2025

With a tough and crucially important run of six games before the end of the month, the squad is in pretty grim shape and needs reinforcements now, not just by the end of the window. We cannot go into the CL games starting Idah and Yang. Tierney cannot start all 6 of those games.

100

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 03/08/2025

- KT makes his competitive return - Debut for Nygren in midfield - Scales gets the nod over Trusty - Potential Shin debut from the bench - No room for Inamura among the subs - Good thing we held onto Tilio...

000

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 28/07/2025

With the pre-season games over, this is how Celtic's depth looks ahead of the league opener at the weekend. I've left out Tilio, who seems certain to leave, and the likes of Summers and Donovan, who will probably be loaned out.

That game, like the previous meeting at Celtic Park in August 1996, were thought to be part of the deal that took Jorge Cadete to Celtic. This game saw the opening of the new East Stand and finished 2-2.

The last time the two sides met in a friendly was at Fenway Park in Boston in the summer of 2010. Only one player on either side remains from that game: James Forrest, of course.

As the new 3rd top is dividing opinions, I've ranked every Adidas Celtic change kit. 12 shirts in total, including the leaked new away kit. Certainly room for improvement in the overall output from Adidas. I think today's release is actually one of the better efforts.

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 27/06/2025

🔥 double-figures in goals in the last two seasons in Denmark 💪 good age, scope for development 🇸🇪 Swedish international 💸 bargain fee due to contract situation ⚽️ Seems like he can play on either wing or as a number 8/10. Slightly different profile to other wingers at the club

000

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 27/06/2025

🍀 It's not the design I'd have chosen, but I'm going to go against the grain and say I quite like it. 🏖️ Summery vibe but identifiably Celtic. 🟠 First time orange has been used as a trim colour? 👎No trefoil... 👎 Collar noticeably different on authentic and replica versions

Yes, I'll be taking a moment to enjoy this. An elite player, just turned 28, who could command 4 or 5x higher wages elsewhere, only signs for Celtic out of pure love for the club. Borderline fairytale stuff in 2025. Welcome home, KT. #bacKToparadise

Getting in the mood. Huge game today for pride and laying down a marker. Mon the Hoops!

010

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 02/05/2025

I don't think Celtic have ever worn non-white shorts with the hoops in a competitive game. With kit clash rules becoming stricter, though, could we see green shorts used to allow Celtic to still wear the hoops in big games? I'm thinking European games, cup finals and... derbies?

100

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 02/05/2025

Green shorts with the hoops in some games next season? 👀

000

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 30/04/2025

If this is legit, it's another underwhelming home shirt from Adidas. It has some potential, but is ruined by the white panel on the sleeves (no need to break the hoops!) and by the Dafabet logo, of course.

100

Andy McDougall @anmcd90.bsky.social · 27/04/2025

Fans of all clubs in Scotland should be backing this. When it comes to ticket prices, we're all on the same side. And yes, Celtic as a club are as guilty as any other. The North Curve statement makes that clear and Celtic fans have called out Celtic for years on this.
