The sunflower seeds that I’ve been putting out for finches and grosbeaks have attracted some band-tailed pigeons! They’re very skittish, and I can only get these zoomed-in cryptid shots through a window. I feel so guilty when they see me and scatter. I just want to look at them 😭

It's June! Happy birthday, rainbow people! It's dumb, but I can't settle on a label for my orientation. Pan is probably the most accurate, but I like the bi flag because the colors remind me of tasty, ripe edible berries. I just like cute little animal people of ambiguous gender. And black rainbows!

Another successful breadsperiment (3rd attempt)! This has an entire can of black beans in it, 50% whole wheat flour, and 100g of mixed seeds. It’s heavy but not nearly as dense as the last two attempts at this.

While I was in SF, I also visited the Cartoon Art Museum for the first time! It only cost $10 to get in, and there is so much amazing art and history to see. Definitely check it out if you’re ever on Fisherman’s Wharf!

I tried adding raisins to the traditional sweet yeast bunny bread this year. They turned out great! As usual, they poofed up significantly in the oven.

Back to normal mundane life after VancouFur, but at least I can start my day with some dragon coffee! This rose and lavender blend is absolutely lovely! Subtle and not at all overpowering the coffee itself.

The Bunny Lounge was wonderful! All the buns seemed extremely well cared for. Lots of space, toys, places to hide, and hay. Even the treats they give you are healthy (cilantro, lettuce, no carrots). It made me so happy.
