isActive() provides a new, treeshakable computed signal to determine if a route is active. Check out this example.
A code snippet showing the usage of the standalone isActive function imported from @angular/router. Inside a component class, a readonly active property is defined that checks if the /profile route is active. It passes a configuration object specifying "exact" matching for paths and query params, while ignoring fragment and matrix params.

Code Snippet:

import { ..., isActive } from '@angular/router';

@Component({...})
export class App {
  private readonly router = inject(Router)

  readonly active = isActive(
    '/profile',
    this.router,
    {
      paths: 'exact',
      queryParams: 'exact',
      fragment: 'ignored',
      matrixParams: 'ignored' }
  );
}

Spread syntax in Angular templates! Use the ... operator in: ▶️ Object literals: {a: 1, ...foo} ▶️ Array literals: [1, ...foo] ▶️ Function calls: fn(1, ...foo) It’s powered by Angular’s "pure function" system, ensuring objects aren't re-created unless data changes. Keep it clean, keep it fast! 🚀
A code snippet demonstrating the use of the JavaScript spread operator within Angular's @let syntax. The code defines a baseModel object, then creates an upgradedModel using {...baseModel} to inherit properties like make, model, and year, while adding a new "radio" property. The HTML below outputs both lists to show the merged data.

Code snippet:
      @let baseModel = { make: 'Best Cars', model: 'ng-21', year: 2026 };
      @let upgradedModel = {...baseModel, radio: 'Premium Sound System' };

      <p>Base Model Details:</p>
      <ul>
        <li>Make: {{ baseModel.make }}</li>
        <li>Model: {{ baseModel.model }}</li>
        <li>Year: {{ baseModel.year }}</li>
      </ul>

      <p>Upgraded Model Details:</p>
      <ul>
        <li>Make: {{ upgradedModel.make }}</li>
        <li>Model: {{ upgradedModel.model }}</li>
        <li>Year: {{ upgradedModel.year }}</li>
        <li>Radio: {{ upgradedModel.radio }}</li>
      </ul>

Multi-case @switch matching 🎉 You can now define multiple @case statements consecutively that can be applied to the same template. Here's a code example:
A screenshot of a code snippet in a dark-mode editor showcasing Angular's built-in control flow syntax. The code demonstrates an @switch block evaluating a month() signal. It uses multiple @case to group months 4, 6, 9, and 11 to return "30 days," a specific @case for month 2 returning "28 days," and an @default block for all other months returning "31 days." The Angular logo is visible in the bottom left corner.

Code block:
<section>
@switch (month()) {
  @case (4) @case (6) @case (9) @case (11) {
    <p>Days in month: 30</p>
  }
  @case (2) {
    <p>Days in month: 28</p>
  }
  @default {
    <p>Days in month: 31</p>
  }
}
</section>

Fun fact - Well, I'm really clumsy. So, if you need someone to hang a picture, do both of us a favor and ask someone else ... I guess this is the reason why I'm really attracted by software.

Favourite Angular feature - Angular is reactive first. Having RxJS and now signals Angular demonstrates its commitment to making reactive designs. Once you figure out how to use the tools, I believe Angular gives you the best set of tools for reacting to very complex user interactions in an easy to understand manner. Teaching me to think reactively and helping to rewire my brain in this manner is a huge benefit to me and the software I write.
