attempt 2 so far(different colours and trying to focus more on the bird first before going into the background, my original idea for this wasn't to have a super detailed background and i wanted a cooler colour palette

here's an even older version of the underpainting, I think from October? I pulled it out after it was dry, was unhappy with how it looked, then spent quite a while trying to fix it. I think the first layer I tried to go in with colour? Then painted over in brown and white because it looked odd

picture of the underpainting; I do wish I hadn't gone in with the tiniest brush I had for my last few layers, I think the painting lost something (especially the flowers)
