I wish the students would stick to protesting peacefully. Once you engage in vandalism and destruction of property, you are no longer protesting, but committing a crime. It just destroys the movement and message. Destructive actions like those never evoke change. It may land you in jail, though.

It is also plausible that most Americans are waiting to see how our midterm elections go. If our elections are corrupted by this administration, shit will undoubtedly hit the fan. His decreasing support & Americans’ growing rage should not be underestimated. (70% of Americans disapprove of him)

I think Americans have realized that protests, while unifying, are not the effective change agents that they were in the 60s. (Our military is also likely to shoot us in the street at this point.)What we need is an economic strike. This may be the more difficult, but more effective, solution.
