reminder that history has always been multiple events happening concurrently, but humans having the ability to see these events unfold in practically live-time is VERY new because of the internet. we were not built to handle this level of constant stress. 🧶(+)

I've gotten back into playing Sky over the last few days! Hello Van Gogh is so stunning and brutal all at once. This older artwork features my bros @txmistavetra and @natunespace Sky kids, along with my other Sky bestie's kid, Mae <:3 #art #sky #skycotl

Another Art Fight piece from last year! I LOVE fantasy and fae whimsy, so the wings immediately had me hooked. I really need to do more art with darker faerie vibes. Go check out @cupidanorak this is their kiddo Meavin! They're a good friend of mine and an amazing artist ✨ #art #artfight

At the centre of the artwork, a small faerie reclines among dark green curling vines and forest grass, resting with one elbow beneath her head and her legs tucked comfortably beneath her. She smiles playfully, revealing two small pointed fangs, while vivid neon violet eyes glow beneath tousled golden-blonde hair and long floppy ears. Large crimson wings fan out behind her, contrasting with the cool woodland background. Her unclothed body is covered in soft gradients of pale lavender, pink, and pearl, overlaid with flowing violet and white spiral markings. Her hands and feet deepen into rich brown tones as part of her natural colouration. The twisting vines surrounding her create a sense of movement, while her relaxed pose and mischievous expression.

An old coloured pencil WIP of my mascot, Angel! I still really love this one, even if it's been sitting unfinished for YEARS. 😅 FR tho, how many unfinished projects are hiding away in your art folder? 😏 #art #illustration

It's Artfight at the moment, so i thought I'd post some of my 'attacks' from last year! This is one of my friends persona, but drawn as a little gremblin, rather than the giant void beast it is. Check my buddy out at @gravastellar if you've got the chance! #art #artfight

One of the very first sticker concepts I came up with when I started my small business! I've always been a big feelings person, so I wanted to make something that honours emotions instead. What's an emotion you've always wanted to see represented more? :') #art #smallbusiness

An Art Fight attack I did last year for my friend Sheepsigh. I’ve been pushing myself to draw more cat characters lately, and this design was just way too charming not to draw. What are you challenging yourself with lately? #art #warriorcats #catart

This is a mermaid piece I started over a year ago and still haven’t finished, which I’m learning is okay. Fantasy and escapism have always been a big part of how I process life, and I don’t think that'll ever go away. #art #mermaid

Did a messy little doodle of my mascot Angel on Magma 💖 Drawing with other people makes it feel way less lonely when motivation is low. Super chill, highly recommend. #art #magma

I've been slowly chipping away at this 3D model for about a year now. It’s still very much a WIP, but it’s finally starting to feel like something that could exist outside of my screen! I’ve always loved the idea of making my own figurines and getting to explore that now feels hella special. #art

Been putting off posting again thanks to struggling, procrastinating, and overthinking, but I’m finally back! (HOPEFULLY 8'D) This piece features Artemis, @txmistavetra’s character, and debuts my new fantasy and nature-inspired border. Let me all know what you think of the border! #art

I highly encourage artists to reupload their old art (> 6 months old) sometimes! I know some hit the repost button on their old work, but reuploading can reach a wider audience since: - It will show up in tags/feeds - It can show up in the discover feed - Some people have reposts turned off

Generally we think of alt-text as the domain of those with accessibility needs. However alt-text is useful for many reasons, which benefit your viewers, as well as you, the creator!

An infographic. There are six panels.

1. "Slow internet. Alt text is shown in place of unloaded images." a drawing shows a phone with poor signal, and alt text is visible where the image should have loaded.

2. "Findabillity. Alt text helps to search content." A drawing shows someone searching 'dog with banana' and a post is shown underneath without the words 'dog' or 'banana'. It is implied to be part of the alt text.

3. "Screen readers. Alt is read out to people using text-to-speech software". There is a drawing of the output a screen-reader would show when viewing an image with alt text on bluesky.

4. "Translation. Alt text can be translated". A drawing shows a post being translated. The alt text is also translated into german.

5. "Readability. Text in images can be made legible" There is a drawing of some truly awful handwriting inside a speech bubble. The alt text clarifies what the text is supposed to say.

6. "Disambiguation. Description helps clarify intent." There is a drawing of a post with a picture of a creature. This is styled after the famous optical illusion of a rabbit and a duck. The alt text clarifies that the animal is a rabbit. It definitely looks more like a duck.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but it’s okay to share and do what you love, even now—especially now. Things feel really urgent—because they are—but connection and joy matter too. Taking care of yourself doesn’t mean you’re not paying attention. It means you’re human.
