I love how the Statue of David is censored in SpongeBob yet in Animal Crossing, it's completely uncensored. Like they could have used the Tom Nook leaf as a censor yet they didn't (though ngl that would have been a funny way of telling it's a forgery)

I love when artists make Terry's hat change depending on the mood for comedy reasons because I do the exact same thing!!

From one of the King of Fighters comedy mangas. Ryo gave Terry something and Terry doesn't like it? I'm not sure what it says except for Terry saying "what is this".

Terry sweating with his hat saying "help?"
This was from a Magma session back when it was called Aggie my friend and I did. Context was that Blue Mary was mad at him

Terry sighing, it says "no Wi-Fi" and his hat says Sigh. I drew this as vent art when we had a Wi-Fi outage.

Terry wearing a Tanooki Tail and Ears with the hat saying "Fatowo Furry"

One of my favorite gags in cartoons is the character that has like a full wardrobe of literally the same outfit and this gets me!

Kyo and Iori.
Basically, Kyo asks why he's wearing the same uniform again. Iori just says something along the lines of
"I have 6 more wardrobes of these!"
I'm not very fluent in Japanese at all. So I apologize.

I really like how Vanessa and Blue Mary are drawn here. It gives me Lexi vibes. I don't know. Maybe it's just how it's stylized that it kind of reminds me of her art style. Or because she draws them a lot. Either way I like it!

I caved in and I bought all of them. I have spent so much money today! I kind of already regret it! But hey once I get home I will take pictures and stuff! And I will try to translate some of them. But my Japanese is not the greatest. So there might be things I miss.

Guys I have found a treasure trove! I was going to get some of the Wings of Fire books because I have been really getting into that series. But at the same time all the King of Fighters manga that's in Japanese! I can't decide. Should I just spend $100 on all these books? Including Wings of Fire?

A bunch of Japanese King of Fighters books with a few Wings of Fire books at top.

Honorable mention next to Majora's Mask because I think this was my actual first scare (though it's hard to tell between the two) was this music! Like this haunted me as a kid! But also this is the game that got me into video game music in the first place so that says a lot! youtu.be/enejjKpMtgU?...

I was terrified of Majora's Mask as a kid and it wasn't just the Moon. I was not able to save everyone on time. So when I got that bad ending where the moon destroyed Termina, I never played again. Doesn't help I have a fear of death IRL so it amplified my fear even if it's just a game.

This is such a good movie but also a very hard to watch one. Yet it's still relevant with not just the idol culture in Japan, but also to Hollywood culture, music industries, and online culture, even though this was made before the internet was as big. I just hope it's not AI upscaling.

I agree and also disagree at the same time. Both can have their place. But I do agree that we could use more 2D based video games. 3D could step back just a little bit. Not everything has to be cinematic with the best graphics. Meanwhile, not every 2D game has to be exclusively sprite-based.

It's one of those questions that baffles me as well as someone who is interested in video game history. Because essentially, Super Smash Bros Brawl should be considered retro Because it's 17 years old now! Yeah wrap that around your head! Same for Pikmin which is 24 years old. Why isn't that retro?

And as someone who works at a public school transportation department (not this one), I know for a fact that this is going to cut funds for all of the transportation staff in that school district too. There's no upside to this. Kids, families, and transportation staff are going to be affected.

I had to look up the Zelda thing and Jesus Christ! How does that happen!? Did he not look at what he was reading when he did research? Like he didn't even bother to look up what Octoroks were or where "Hylian mushrooms" are from!? That demonstrates how lazy he is when it comes to research.
