Latest edition of NY State Fire News features the funding I secured for the Amsterdam Fire Department to purchase a new ambulance. This investment means our firefighters and EMS personnel have the equipment they need to respond when someone calls for help and provide high-quality emergency care.

I’ve introduced a mew bill to strengthen safety rules for child safety seats used to transport preschool children with disabilities. It closes a gap by requiring regular inspections, tracking expiration dates, removing unsafe seats from use and proper training for those responsible for using them.

🐾 I’m deeply disappointed with the verdict in the A Time for Paws case. Gus died and other animals were found in dangerous conditions. I introduced the Safe Pet Boarding Act (A.9123) last year to strengthen protections for pets. This verdict makes passing it even more urgent.
