Hard to beat that never mind the death part alongside the notable things that happened during his journey

I mean technically Yorun has too (a couple times) but when Jinarl did it he fully went to the afterlife and stayed there for years both enjoying what is the equivalent of heaven as well as training for his return. His commitment made a better world and changed the perspective of Raeknar, a god.

He slaughtered the demon realm, he had an army of the dead large enough to cover the world but made a small separate dimension to keep them. When he died he could have continued to live for several thousand more years but he didn't because he won and there was peace for a long time already

#AwesomeCharacters I think I have to give this to Jinarl from Dead Promises. He spent a few years making the world better by taking tyrants down and defying the will of bad gods even after dying once and spending years in the afterlife he came back and kept doing it for thousands more.

They needed only some changes of which Sunhale helped fix up with some magic.

As such the ones that are more her are her actually liked ones though she would definitely say that the appropriated ones are really nice even if not really her want.

Golanier made his through his necromancy (similar to Yorun's armour). Gira's were originally hand-me-downs but she ALSO appropriated some clothes from the fortress after joining with Yorun properly. She has gone out and bought from some market stalls though for things that are more her

AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 15/10/2026
Sunhales actually very happy with his clothes, he has what he really likes from the high end outfits but even the ones that aren't he's happy enough in else he wouldn't have bought them.
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 15/10/2026
Sunhale gets his from all over due to disguises and the like but as for what he'd normally wear. His uniform is given by the military but his ordinary clothes are actually decently high end though he doesn't have many of them else it'd be suspicious. Little market stalls would end up being primary

AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 15/10/2026
He's happy enough with the emperors clothes because they ARE very well made and comfortable but also brings him a bit of joy at the obvious insult it is The other stuff he's VERY happy with because they're useful to the biggest degree.

AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 15/10/2026
#AwesomeCharacters Yorun appropriated his current clothes from what WOULD have been the emperors room in the Fortress that is his base. And the cloak I mentioned before was created by a god while he made his draconic armour himself (yes I'm including armour)

Also the creator of the demons (well "creator" not wholly separate beings)

Well yeah a major god and the one that makes chaos and injustice exist.

#AwesomeCharacters Probably Malekanivor who has at least once acted as an ally. Being the god of chaos and injustice they just kind of have their equivalent of fun hence them helping out at least once

#<3oc Yorun is kind of literally leading his own war against his home empire so yes? Doing it for multiple reasons but all the same he against the emperor. Also kind of against most of the gods too I suppose given his working for Raeknar.

Age yourself with a childhood crush Alice was always pretty and sweet so I liked her (mildly funny that one of the only gifs is her fainting though)

Yorun actually doesn't hide the connection in fact the world actually didn't know about jinarl since he was around SO LONG ago that people had forgotten even the elven archives didn't have anything. Yorun actually revealed Jinarls existence to the world recently.

How could she not aspire to follow in his footsteps when it comes to how much he has learned and more than that in the time he has?
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 13/10/2026
Gira actually compares herself to Yorun, such similar backgrounds and yet the man who is old enough to be her father and from the village next to her own has grown from farmer to world threat via his war against the Fiernian Empire. Sure her focus is not on combat but healing but he learned so much.
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 13/10/2026
But also he doesn't want to become his old self anymore, course for afterlife reasons but he's changing enough to see the foolishness of his younger self the trappings of his lust for power.
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 13/10/2026
Golanier... oddly enough same as Yorun. Doesnt really have the want for all the same ideals as Jinarl but respects his determination, his grit to change the world with a power he crafted with Raeknar plus he literally shut Golanier down when they met so more respect.
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 13/10/2026
Sunhale compares himself to Reifal, how could he not? Reifal being the spymaster and them now having a personal connection via sharing the same power and actually talking beyond the normal means of spies he is the closest to becoming him despite not actually being the rank behind him.
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 13/10/2026
On the opposite side he doesn't want to become Golanier, his grief over his villager could easily have driven him that way had he not instead wanted to die and Raeknar showed up with the promise of their resurrection. He still wonders how far off from it he is though sometimes.
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 13/10/2026
#AwesomeCharacters Yoruns got both sides of the coin here, Yorun even if he's not got the want to be in this after his family are back while he is he wants to live up at least somewhat to the legacy of Jinarl the first Necromancer and last chosen of Raeknar.

AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 11/10/2026
Well there wasn't much to be really curious about, lived in an outlier village had a simple life he loved and the biggest bit of the world he saw on VERY few occasions was the city of Gantoral. He was content and didn't really have a want to be curious about other things
020 2
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 11/10/2026
Gira is a healer, she has grown more curious (due to the opportunities around her) about about other races biology's and how best to help them so it's letting her up her skills. She's also looking into alternative ways she can use her magic for such medical work, driven by her care and curiosity
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 11/10/2026
Golanier is also decently curious but really it was more of a "I wonder if this thing can help my conquests" or "could I do this with necromancy" which led him to figure out a whole bunch of things to aid himself when he was alive
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 11/10/2026
Sunhale is a spy and by that nature information is his whole thing so he's very curious, he hears something it's going in the mental notebook and he will look into it if it's of interest to him in someway shape or form.
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 11/10/2026
#AwesomeCharacters Yorun is decently curious these days, due to finding out more about the world, magic, the gods and history he's grown to be more curious about it but mainly if it'll serve him otherwise he'll ignore the curiosity. It did lead him to finding out about his predecessors tho

No...? That requires an explanation surrounding how the dead work in Dead Promises unless needed I wont but just suffice to say none of the main cast believe in ghosts because they know they don't exist at least in the way WE think of them

AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 11/10/2026
Thing to remember is Raeknar gives all mortals their innate sense of justice and that is based in what Raeknar dictates so shed away what society tells you is justice, what is justified and you just get Raeknar.
010 1
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 11/10/2026
Yes, Raeknar has this far not steered him wrong in terms of morality or what needs doing. The most disagreement they have comes as a result of Raeknar not telling Yorun everything or the whole truth in the beginning (Mostly me not having planned things out)
110 1
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Gira is not betraying her morals, rules or anything, she's kinda the best person amongst the four so yeah simple there. Not that Yorun isn't a good person he's the second most good/ moral but again skewed sense of things compared to others even if he's technically more right due to Raeknar
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
So he's less likely to break any of that nowadays especially since it jeopardises his own goals but should the truest need arise he COULD and it is VERY situationally dependant
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Golanier is also another odd case, suffice to say old him would laugh at this question and summarily beat whoever asked him it but nowadays he has come to enjoy SOME aspects of more honourable things, first thing that showed his change was enjoying an actual honourable duel with Helimiral.
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Sunhale is also kinda an outlier here cause he's a spy (sometimes assassin) but he has morals and he's not betraying those just well, they're definitely darker morals.
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Should Raeknar disapprove and dislike what Yorun does well that risks losing being a chosen and more importantly getting his loved ones back. So likely more to maintain his/ Raeknars version of honour/ rules etc before breaking that.
130 3
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
#AwesomeCharacters This is an... odd one. Yorun by the nature of what he does is already following a different idea of honour compared to prolly a good bunch of others considering the whole necromancy thing. As for betraying any of that? That genuinely depends on whether Raeknar would disapprove
170 7
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Yorun is a necromancer, suffice to say people will find that inherently creepy Golanier is a disembodied bound soul to Yorun posessing his own corpse AND is a necromancer too. So whole lot there

AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Well yeah but it's still the fact he lost the ability to see out of that eye. Something he has to live with for the rest of his immortal life (well he COULD ask for it to be fixed but y'know he's used to it) At the very least he saved Sunhale from doing the same thing he did
010 1
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Basically if he disconnects from the shadows he is completely blind in that eye and it looks... off but connected to them that eye basically sees whatever the hell he wants
120 2
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Reifal unfortunately during this process resisted and closed one of his eyes due to the pain hoping to close one and alleviate it then do the other but that just darkened his eye forever with the tattoos on his face spider webbing out across that side of his face forever more.
120 2
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
This process however is... unpleasant at least the first time round. The tattoos that moved to be around his eyes began to go into his eyes, slithering past and along the eyes like snakes made of water. It's a painful discomforting process made worse when they reach the optic nerve.
120 2
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Well Reifals broken eye kinda served as a warning for Sunhale. Y'see being Chosen of Otaper means they can do more than their allies can with the Darkness of Otaper. Reifal found out many years ago that improved ability will let him directly see through the shadows via the darkness.
120 2
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
Coming back to this later, actually surprised the "broken eye" wasn't questioned lol, don't think I've explained that on Bsky before?
120 2
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
Which one? Lol (kidding one is FAR more time)
120 2
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
If I were to give credit for someone from Dead Promises (preferably someone alive) I'd likely give it to Reifal aka The Great Reifal, master of intelligence for the Wooralian Empire aka the spymaster. Nearly 8K years alive and seeing everything via his broken eye helps practice
120 2
AnethAraLethallin @anetharalethallin.bsky.social · 09/10/2026
#AwesomeCharacters It's Laraka from The Immortalai, kind of hard to beat THE master warrior of the world and their history. Be it ordinary object or magic he is going to his shot with the practice 900 billion+ years grants especially with that focus as a warrior

I would if I did cosplay stuff at all and liked going out to places that people generally cosplay at. Plus some of the stuff for like Yorun I'd just love to have around actively cosplaying or not

It's a dark black cloak with some grey around the edges I guess? On the back it has the symbol of Raeknar in the same grey right in the middle of the back. The symbol is a set of scales heavily weighed on one side with a scythe overhead poised to snatch the scales away
