Unfortunately I didn’t find any Spirit comics, but it’s never a bad day when you get to go to a comic shop. Also I visited the seaside, so there’s that.

I literally have this sticker on my desk. Lynch and is work are everywhere on my office. Huge, huge loss.

Andy Clift @andywclift.bsky.social · 16/01/2025

David Lynch, one of the greatest visionary storytellers and artists this world has ever seen. This is a huge loss, but his legacy will live on through the incredible work he gave to us all for so many years. Rest easy, and thank you for literally everything.

I bloody love the Condiment King from Batman the Animated Series. Not only was he a fun idea, but he'd have been right at home in the Silver Age. You can absolutely see a Silver Age issue of Detective Comics with Batman & Robin fighting this dude on the front cover. #Batman

I’ve decided that 2025 is the year that I’m just going to share things that I really like. First up, issue 1 of Batman: Dark Pattern. Solid first issue with some real “Year One/Long Halloween” vibes, which is always going to be a winner in my book. #Batman #comics

This is all because Elon Musk tried and failed to lobby the Labour government to tax petrol cars more so he could make more money from people in the UK buying electric cars. Elon Musk's toddler tantrums have real world impacts.

What I love most about Mezco's new Batman animated Batmobile is the care that's gone into to not only replicate the animated series but to replicate the original Kenner box from the '90s. For me, this isn't just a toy, it's labour of art. #batman #batmantheanimatedseries #batmobile #mezco

One of the coolest easter eggs in a Marvel movie that, currently, has not been followed up on, and I’m ok with that.

Happy 30th anniversary to, in my opinion, one of the greatest Star Trek movies of them all. This movie will always be one of my comfort films for multiple reasons. Was it perfect? No. Did it need to be, honestly? No. I am just grateful for it. #StarTrekGenerations

Andy Clift @andywclift.bsky.social · 14/11/2024

“…in MY opinion.” I hate it when these critics position their opinions as fact. Every single film on this list has its fans. I don’t care if you do write for the Independent, your opinion is not fact.

With the 11 issues that I picked up at Comic-Con yesterday, I'm now only 7 issues away from having a full run of Peter Parker: Spider-Man, from the late '90s/early '00s. For me, it was a totally underrated series that ran alongside Amazing Spider-Man, and they crossed over a lot.

I am super excited for McFarlane's Condiment King figure. Less excited for the fact that he's a 'Build a Figure' because... a) It'll be tough to get the 4 figures required to build him, in the UK. b) It's going to cost roughly £100 for all 4 figures. c) I already own 3 of the 4 figures.
