I was in my yard, they have my contact details. It would have saved them work to call me, or to have told me the correct estimated delivery time. But no, that’s not how things work.

Andy Washington @andywash.bsky.social · 02/06/2025

The Royal Mail by like: “We’ll deliver this parcel that needs your signature between 12 & 3pm”, & “We tried at 11:18am & you weren’t in so will try again at some point yet to be determined tomorrow”. #RoyalMail

Dear comedy night patron, just because you don’t like the act on stage don’t have a go at me as you leave. You know my role here is to point you to a seat, the toilet & exit. I don’t control what happens on stage. Thank you. Yours A venue steward

Seemingly the same with question marks?

Ruination Day Part 2

The pair seem to be taking turns incubating their eggs, so they are much less visible. But if you show patience... & feisty Coots. #eastlondonkingfishers #nature #wildlife #kingfisher #kingfishers #eastlondon #kingfisherphotography #birdphotography #hackney #eastlondon #hackneymarshes

Two days later & the males are still fighting over the new nest. One was waiting inside for the other to sneak in. Then he chased him out & away. So happy to catch the action. #wildlife #kingfisher #kingfishers #eastlondon #kingfisherphotography #birdphotography #hackney #eastlondon #hackneymarshes

The stages in a Donald Trump deal: 1. Lie about something being a problem 2. Do something to "fix" it, which causes an actual problem 3. Say you won't reverse what you've done 4. Reverse what you've done 5. Say "Art of the deal"

Some are calling Trump the modern day Canute. I say they’re just bad at spelling.

ll kicking off down on the Marshes! 2 males fighting over a nest site. It’s really close to an established nest, so I’m not sure if it’s not wanting neighbours or about needing a new nest or? #kingfisher #kingfishers #eastlondon #kingfisherphotography #birdphotography #hackney #hackneymarshes

My favourite shot from today’s visit to the Kingfisher pair on Hackney Marshes. The Male scoping the fishing opportunities. #eastlondonkingfishers #nature #wildlife #kingfisher #kingfishers #eastlondon #kingfisherphotography #birdphotography #hackney #eastlondon #hackneymarshes

Found a nesting Kingfisher pair in Hackney today. The male was feeding the female. She never left the nest site in over 2 hours.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Our Governments can’t do much, but we can as individuals.

Now’s the time. Don’t buy or use American goods or services. This isn’t a buy British campaign, it’s more buy from anyone else. #boycottUSA

Elton John - Young Gifted and Black

Love it! Have you heard Elton John's version (from when he made money as a session singer doing dodgy covers)? www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1V9... Definitely odd.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Don’t limit it to buy British, but shift it to don’t buy American.

I was in that crowd. It is still the most incredible gig moment I’ve witnessed even several thousand gigs later.

I've never shot a pano before. It wasn’t preplanned, but added on at the end of my recent Lighthouse shoot. I don’t think much of the composition. I love how I have captured nebula in the MW, along with both the large & small Magellanic Clouds. The starlight trails across the sea are cool

Andy Washington @andywash.bsky.social · 15/03/2025

Why the fuck are we getting “trending” videoed here now??

Andy Washington @andywash.bsky.social · 14/03/2025

I went back & spent the whole night out shooting alone under the beautiful warm quiet star filled outback sky. As the moon was full & up all night I couldn’t get a shot of the Milky Way. So I took this 8 hour star trail timelapse. I was truly in my happy place.

How come I never heard about this when I grew up in Weymouth & fought fascists there 40 years after this happened in 1938?
