Should it happen, Clacton voting in Count Binface might be the greatest moment in British politics.

Was in Berlin for a few nights last week that also involved seeing the Foo Fighters live. Berlin is an amazing city and the Foos were incredible 🤘

Similarly to 2015, Liverpool have lost their identity, except this time with a much better squad of players. It's time for Edwards and Hughes to earn their money whilst there's still a glimmer of something to save from this miserable season.

Update: Borussia Dortmund express their "surprise" at the "disproportionate" measures taken against their supporters en route to Bergamo, which they say are "completely incomprehensible." Full statement: www.bvb.de/de/de/aktuel...

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear so.

Biggest positive of last night was the link up between Wirtz and Ekitike, giving us a glimpse of what we can hopefully expect to see over the next 5 years.

Went to Arnhem yesterday and it was beautiful

Quite frankly, Uli is a gobshite.

I like the Gomez change but thought it was worth giving Endo and Chiesa an opportunity to at least add some urgency and aggression.

A very nice day at Soest Xmas market

Sadly, I just don't believe he knows how to fix it.

Andy Wales @andywales.bsky.social · 23/11/2025

Honestly, I think we have too many underlying problems. So many fundamentals lacking. It's like we've lost any identity. I hope I'm wrong but can only see this going one way.

I want to believe it, I want to. Deep down though, I don't think he will.

Newcastle are lucky not to have conceded 2 penalties for the late challenge on Foden and the handball.

Andy Wales @andywales.bsky.social · 22/11/2025

I think it's a matter of when and not if now for Arne Slot. The team is too unstructured and dysfunctional. It's too easy for opponents to be running at our defence and we afford them too much time and space in danger areas. The complete lack of a plan is a problem too.

As much as I'm still irked by Liverpool being denied a perfectly good goal, thanks to the dubious Michael Oliver, my annoyance at the pitiful display runs deeper. The entire approach was too passive and lacked the necessary fight. Quite simply, it was unacceptable.

If Robbo is good physically, I'd start him for consistency and experience in what is a big match.

Andy Wales @andywales.bsky.social · 09/11/2025

This would be the Liverpool team I'd start with today. Needs to be the strongest available XI

It's almost as if all their pointing, shouting and screaming is to distract from their own behaviour....... 🤔

Balance is key for LFC, I've been saying it since the summer. That's what we had last night and it is no coincidence that we got our best performance of the season with that midfield and attack together. All backed up with structure, hard work and a plan.

Barring Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones, every player now looks out of form. Tends to suggest deeper issues and sadly, I'm inclined to agree with you as to where this is heading.

Andy Wales @andywales.bsky.social · 26/10/2025

I'd like to think Arne Slot can turn things around because it's what I'd like to see. Unfortunately, my confidence doesn't match my hope because of what I see.

I'd be worried if we'd not prepared but I'm more worried if that's an example of us being prepared.

It appears we've been surprised at how Brentford play

Might be tempted to put Szoboszlai there as well

Got my LFC starting XI for Brentford

Don't forget Craig Burley, Gabby Agbonlahor and Troy Deeney. Perhaps Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes can throw us some pearls too.

Here's how I'd go in Frankfurt:

Didn't want to over react in the emotionally charged aftermath of Sunday's game. I'll be honest, I'm worried about Slot's ability to turn this around. His post match comments and decision making concern me. Wednesday is a huge game.

This would be the LFC team I start with against Chelsea. I think balance and a bit of experience could be key. I love Ibou but he deserves to be dropped unfortunately

Does the 'T' stand for Twiggy?

Andy Wales @andywales.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

Perhaps they're being cautious with Bradley and Frimpong, and that's what influenced this decision. Would've been nice to be able to only use Mac for 20-30 minutes today.

000

Andy Wales @andywales.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

Yeah, just seen that. Hopefully he gets to make a cameo midweek and also nicer for his debut to come at Anfield.

Andy Wales @andywales.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

Just seen that, i stand corrected. Hopefully he gets to make his debut.

000

Andy Wales @andywales.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

The same was said about this game so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Better to be careful after his lack of pre-season

Andy Wales @andywales.bsky.social · 14/09/2025

Suspect he goes off after an hour for Bradley.
