Part of it is just they have a semifinal berth locked up and the other teams don’t yet. But I also think they’d be about even money against Atlanta or Vegas, favored against Washington or Indiana and significant dogs to the Valks. I think the final 4 end up priced pretty close to even.

The thing that really stood out to me was that they outrebounded the Dream last week despite having no legs, and I think there’s a very good chance that whoever wins the glass wins the series whether they play Atlanta or Washington

I’m still salty about the last 2 games being scheduled for TV at the expense of competitive balance though. Angel said it postgame, she knew they were tired. I said it on here during the game too. I think the Libs win that game if it isn’t their third in four days, then the finale is competitive.

Idk, haven’t played the Mystics in quite a while so it’s hard to take much from that. Beat Vegas on their floor when they actually tried and had A’ja (and two other times when they didn’t), played very well against Atlanta last week in the meaningful one before running out of steam.

And as we’ve all said (you, me and Cheryl) at various times, the league has also just flattened out to the extent that matchups really do matter. 22 of 29 previous worst playoff teams were .500 or worse. Libs are clearly a different animal (maybe in the 1-seed race if Fiebich doesn’t miss 6 weeks)

That answer includes so much of why she’s the GOAT. As for her wondering how the Libs were the 8-seed, as one who did watch them all season, it’s because that effort only started showing up consistently in late July. Also bc they match up as badly with Golden State as they do well with the Lynx lol

I really meant it before the series when I said I think we get it wrong by making the playoffs the primary thing. They were 100% the best team this year and I think should be celebrated for it. Short series really just come down to matchups and who plays best that week.

It was a bad call. Bad calls happen. The Lynx also lost that game a dozen other ways and they have said so for two years. If you leave it up to the refs, there are always things you could’ve done better to win the game.

Yeah it’s so easy for us fans to get caught up in things, and clearly they play like their lives depend on it when the clock starts, but Phee and Stewie also founded Unrivaled together and it wasn’t bc they hate each other. Stewie was a UConn senior when Phee was a freshman, they’re sisters!

I think a lot of people, especially our fans, look back at the way we lost in Game 5, and have some things to say, about the officiating or whatever. I know people get caught up on the foul calling.

In Game 5, I dropped four f***ing points.
It should've never come down to a foul call.
I had been hooping the whole series. And then the last game, I just s*** the bed. And Cheryl's so real. She told me that. Even after all that heartbreak, she straight up was like, "If you would've played the way you had been playing, it wouldn't have even been close." So yeah, that game's going to stick with me forever. Forever.
