Ray Chapman was the first and last major league baseball player to have died as the result of injuries suffered from a pitch on August 16, 1920. Ray Chapman played shortstop for the then Cleveland Indians. He is buried at Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio. #TheMoreYouKnow
