Interestingly, of all energy sources, nuclear is the single cleanest energy source to deploy and maintain at only 6 tons of CO2 emitted per gigawatt-hour of power generated. Wind second at 11 tons. Solar (53 tons) is in fourth place behind hydropower (24 tons).
