What would've been Jim Henson's 90th birthday. This show, The Muppet Show, Fraggle Rock, The Dark Crystal & Labyrinth shaped not just my cultural lexicon but gave me a moral compass & an understanding of how I was to see the way the world should be. A true human human #JimHenson #SesameStreet

Embroidery rules... I was a grebo rock god back in.. Well, back in the whenever... but I imagine the badges give the whenever away 😂

Two images of a very dated sleeveless denim jacket - vest as some might call it. It is adorned with metal studs, over a dozen sew-on patches bearing heavy metal (and some not so heavy metal) band logos and some dodgy embroidery of classic band names across it. It is clearly a labour of love from a long lost yoof when headbanging and hair played a large part in this man's life.. Now at least he still has the hair if not necessarily the drive to find a mosh pit. Ha. I was a reet doofus.

I always loved the colours and composition on this item...

Cover to Vortex Comix 1988 Black Kiss #9 by Howard Chaykin. The image is of a woman in what appears to be 80s style yoga or leasure wear of leotard and long sleeve top under a tied blouse. She is presented in start blues, black and grey as though perhaps seen by a passing light in a darkened room. She stands powerfully, side on, and readies a semi-automatic pistol. She wears shades. Cool as...

Happy Penguin Awareness Day to those who observe - ie. everyone I hope! #peaceandlove #penguins #penguinawarenessday

A black and white photograph of a little girl sitting on a low wall next to a penguin enclosure in a zoo. A penguin is sitting next to her and she is obviously giggling with delight. It is a deliriously happy image.
