When an article starts by saying crypto billionaires funding reform was doing the nation a good turn, you know it’s utter bilge.

3.4m seems a liiiittle cheap but in the grand scheme of things, haggling over an extra couple of million and risking his dad scuppering the whole thing is pointless when the most important financial concern is getting his wages off the books. He was on 120k a week apparently.

great to see. Not a christian but I appreciate the role the Roys report fills, and the fact that investigative journalism within the church is taken seriously.

cant help but notice the lack of giant safety net to stop balls going flying into the carpark or lost in the shell of the north stand. I predict multiple Premiere league balls on eBay tonight!

I thought he looked great in pre season. There was an aggression and intensity to his game that wasn’t there before. Hopefully proper competition for that place will spur him on.

110

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

We’re still net positive in transfer budget this summer. Our sales are nearly 260million with Bailey still to leave. We’ve spent around 240 I think? Maybe 250? And our wage bill is down. We’re just cutting our cloth in style.

110

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

I'm guessing a high loan fee, with cast iron obligation with the total fee being in excess of the Galatasaray offer. We'll need to see Bailey gone and a great deal on a right winger before this seems like a smart move. We still need a center Back! .... No YOU'RE biting your nails and sweating!

030

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

another big wage gone. Just need bailey out the door but I just know his dad is going to play silly bugger right up to the deadline. right winger and a center back please and thank you.

I think lynch has a future at Villa if he wants it. A good championship loan would be great for his development. Not sure about the others mentioned

020

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

it feels weird to see him in another kit doesn't it. I definitely think he'll be a top pundit though. He's smart, well spoken as you say. I'd honestly rather he left for another league than have him score against us. If not for his antics not showing up for Brighton, he'd have left a legend.

110

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

At 30 years old with his dream move to Arsenal not happening, and his England career all but over, it's a smart professional move. It's also smart for Villa. He's inconsistent, we wouldn't have got that fee next year, and we get Jackson now, with Madjo coming through. It hurts as a fan, but I get it

120

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

there is when you don't have to pay tax

100

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

true but we have no idea of the details of the deal - He's doubling his money AND could be getting all sorts of benefits on the back end, a signing bonus, performance based bonuses etc. That league is simply not scrutinised financially, so I would expect the weekly salary to be only part of it.

010

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

the tax thing is massive. In the uk you'd pay over 6million in tax on 15 million a year. There's only so much tax evasion you can do. Multiply that saving over 3 seasons for example and your'e looking at and the guts of 20 million.

100

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

he's about to sign for PSV. was due to have his medical today but it hasn't happened yet. Unless that's Olabe swooping in to cause that delay I think the ship has sailed.

100

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

it's euro. and not all upfront. That's not acceptable. We need to buy quality to replace him. If we only end up with £30m GBP up front then we can't do that.

100

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

I love emi but he’s been trying to engineer a move for years . At some point the club have to take control. Zion was there, the time was now, and the deal with Juventus was on. It makes perfect sense. The deal collapsing is not on us. He will go, and so will his wages. Villa rebuild continues.

just set your vpn to spain - if you haven't got a vpn there are a few free ones out there but I'm not sure how well they cope with streaming. If you have a "special" fire stick - just go to the Spanish TV section and look for ETB1

He also looks hard to tackle, uses his body well. If he does go on loan I hope it’s for a good championship side that lets him play first team football.

Did someone on the bench just get a text to say hull city have paid up?

020

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 25/07/2026

To give the proper context, It was 18 NON PENALTY set piece goals. 2nd best in the league. McPhee couldn't win us penalties. If we'd received and scored as many penalties as Palace or Brentford we would be joint top of the set piece table. Even with 4 penalties (the average) we would be joint 2nd.

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 23/07/2026

The appearance criteria is rumoured to be deliberately low. This is 100% about gaming the broken system, a loophole to avoid it being classed as a swap. Different to Elliot who was not an Emery lead signing. Love him or hate him, I think he's here to stay.

200

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

Emery was full of praise for Elliot as a professional, was deeply apologetic and tried to remove the clause to allow him to play more. Monchi, who "masterminded" the deal was let go. The Garnacho loan is only a loophole to stop it being classed as a swap deal. No such reputation exists.

000

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

lesson from the second half. Alysson is a genuine threat, Gomes is classy, Lynch and Borland will be knocking on emery's door asking for game time this season. Iling Jr needs sold and Matty Cash's hair transplant has given him a receding hairline somehow. #avfc #preseason #walsall

010

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

well what did we learn from the first half? Hemmings looks ready for the first team bench on the regular, Madjo has bags of potential and Leon Bailey still has no end product. Oh and Brian Little googled how many Brians played for villa. #avfc #preseason #walsall

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

I see villaTV still has that touch of “jank” 😂. Has pre season truly started unless we’ve watched a barely HD stream with occasional glitches featuring uncle Albert? #avfc

010

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

Since his senior debut in 2022 he's played under Ten Hag, Van Nistelrooy, Amorim, Maresca and Rossenior. More managers than seasons, and those seasons were toxic at their respective clubs. All of this while he was growing up from 18-22 years old. Lets get behind him. #UTV #AVFC #Garnacho

030

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 17/07/2026

Either he is truly ignorant which means he shouldn’t be negotiating deals with foreign govts, or he’s lying. Neither is worthy of Aston Villa. Andy Burnham has history with trying to clean up the premiere league. I’d love to see a ban on sponsorship from foreign govts. Time will tell.

Funny enough I think McGinn turns his man better than tielemans. If McGinn and Kamara can play the double pivot, Rogers on the left, Manzambi in the middle and a new signing on the right (Mbaye?) the system can still work beautifully.

020

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

Definitely loyalist areas right now. Lot of the Irish far right agitators are posting support, but it’s ALWAYS the right, and in Belfast that means loyalist groups. Grim.

Always with the explanation that PSR will force our hand. 3rd times a charm. I can see him going but it will need to be 90m plus, or 70m and Max Dowman 😜

110

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 27/05/2026

I think it's a slow process. lesser teams like Rayo Vallecano still benefit from the experience, the boost in revenue, the raising of their profile. It is a little telling that 3/5 winners have been EPL sides, but look at what it means to those Palace fans tonight!

100

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 26/05/2026

yeah I'll believe it when I see it. this is a DH gate special, probably with a photoshop Audi logo. Think the rumour is all based on the preseason game with Byern Munich being an Audi sponsored event.

000

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 26/05/2026

Exactly! Rumours of Audi? Which would be nice, would rather a car brand. Although Chinese car brands are taking over and BYD have been sponsoring some of the UK football broadcasts, so maybe they’ll make a move to shirt sponsorship? Can’t see LDV making a comeback 😂

200

Andrew @andydicksonactor.bsky.social · 26/05/2026

Regarding #avfc kit sponsor. I wonder if the Betano deal runs out on the day the new one goes on sale, so the sponsor cannot be revealed until launch day? Really hope it’s not a crypto broker. Need a retro sponsor for a retro kit!
