Correct it can mean other things, but: Zionism (since ca. 1880) is to create a Jewish state. Ethno-nationalism is racist whether the ethnicity is Jewish or Aryan or whatever. If they want that then put it behind 1948 UN boundaries, and compensate all Palestinian land lost. 2 State solution best bet.

On the principle that the modern nation state should be secular and protect the rights of all who live there, this motion has the moral high ground. However, it was crude and unhelpful, because the principle of self determination would allow a Jewish ethno-nation state (in 1948 UN boundaries). 1/2

"Adjusting" the triple lock will not bring enough or soon enough. You'll have to raise more than that. Time for an overhaul of the tax system so that all income is taxed by the same rates plus a wealth tax (at least for a while). Lowest rates for the poorest could be lowered.

A good film, but a distant echo of the book. I view Heinlein as being very clever with this book. I think he intentionally wrote it ambiguously. It can be read as a gung-ho adventure, or it can be read as a political satire. It says more about the reader than the author which way is chosen...

Musk is a psychopath. He uses bad empathy to understand what others are thinking and feeling but then uses that information to manipulate them. Good empathy is used by non-psychopaths to build fellowship and help each other. To Musk that prevents him "winning", hence "suicidal".

I don't think it is possible to build anything with "superintelligence". It is possible to build something that is impressive enough to awe a lot of people who believe what it produces. But AI makes a lot of mistakes. Believing it just means those people have superstupidity.
