I think they already have, and have had, a profound fitness/health/outdoorsy culture that pre-dates cycling success and passion for that sport. But certainly, that is only going to get bigger with these Pog/Rog/Mohoric years

The more diffuse way of modern media and how we consume sport has changed, which I see as a limiting factor. I think he will be a byword for cycling excellence though. Already is! Slovenia and Belgium hard to compare re: cycling obsession/culture

less than 90 minutes of paris-roubaix femmes coverage is absolutely ridiculous and exactly why i’ve always been against this “one-day paris-roubaix!” from the start btw. coverage from 50km to go! for a monument in big 2026! i knew this would only end up impacting the women negatively.

It's been a frustrating week dealing with some major men's and women's teams requesting changes to quotes pre-publication. This has become the norm in recent years and it's setting a very worrying precedent for the future. Independent publications are not PR vehicles for teams/riders.
