New paper alert ‼️ What links atypical language dominance, white matter, and cognition? 🧠 atypical language dominance was not linked to poorer cognition 🔁 corpus callosum FA supported cognition in strongly right-lateralised individuals 🧩 crossed dominance was linked to lower visuospatial skills

The end of an era. Last Tuesday, I officially graduated and received my PhD diploma. Still can’t quite believe it, what a way to end 2025. Goodbye, Liverpool!✨

I did it - I’m officially Dr. Ieva! 🥹
Yesterday I passed my PhD viva and I’m still in disbelief. Huge thanks to my examiners, supervisor, collaborators, and my incredible fiancé who’s been by my side through it all. This journey was intense, but I’m proud, relieved, and happy!

I’m so new to this app, but thought it’s always a great idea to share some great news! I submitted my PhD thesis a week ago. It was one of the best challenges and experiences in my life! 4.5 years of growth, struggles, and somehow I wrote a 300 page (?!!) book! It's crazy. Now to prepare for viva!
