It was a bummer not getting to see @chuckwendig.bsky.social at @halconscificon.bsky.social this year but we did get serenaded by Sean Astin and we got to meet @wilsoncruz.bsky.social who is an absolute lovely human being as we expected he would be.

Gander: The Social Media You Want, Built for Canada

Fun, private, and ethical. We're changing the way social media is done around here, all without your personal data taking an unexpected trip down south.

I can't speak for other countries but in Canada there is a Suicide Crisis Helpline. Dial 9-8-8 for help. Speak to family, speak to friends, speak to anyone that will listen. You matter.

I finally cracked the spine of the #starwars novel: Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade by @delilahsdawson.bsky.social I read the author's note at the beginning of the book and I already need a break to appreciate how brave it was to be so blunt right up front with a historically taboo subject.

That's the problem, I'm Gen X and grew up on all this stuff. I guess they just didn't have reach in my corner of the map. I listened to everything I could find by them in the past month.

I hate to say that I just recently found Eric B and Rakim and I have been missing out this whole time.

This dropped right before I turned 19. It was the sound track of my pre-gaming for the clubs.

For any #Canadian living room Yogi, I started my practice and learned a lot from likely the same YouTuber that most of you have. However, every decision and every cent has to be considered. I found Yoga with Kassandra and I will be practicing with her videos for the next while. I will miss Benji.

(1/3) It needs repeating: in 1994, Ukraine was persuaded to give up its nuclear weapons to Russia in return for the US, the UK, and Russia guaranteeing Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

It's like Twitter when Twitter was my comfortable space. You know, before it became all ads and racism and shit.

A surprising #BeastieBoys find at Taz Records in #Halifax yesterday.

I've made a few standard/slanted boards with hardwood flooring scraps. A Nano style one and these tier ones. Hot tip, screw together from the top and cover the holes with the velcro.

Scrap wood and some screws, hit it with some rattle can paint and velcro. $20 pedal board.

None of those people are or were my leaders but I do question mine. I hope all ends well for both sides and reasonable decisions are made.

Yep. We can be self sufficient as required. It may not be as comfortable as we are used to but we will be okay. We are a strong and resilient country. Good day.

You're reading ability is unfathomable. It was not 100 people, I said hundreds (it was actually thousands) It is well documented and easily provable. Maybe check Chat GPT, you can do this, Sport!

Check out some WWII facts, that might help. As far as your "Unable to be proved" comment, I realize that this is not an educated conversation. Good luck with everything.

Your statement was that Canada has never done anything for USA. You asked for ONE example. I complied. You didn't understand my example due to your own lack of education. In my example it wasn't "cancelled flights" it was diverted flights that were in the air and needed a safe place that we provided

100

androod2.bsky.social @androod2.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

One thing that we (I am Canadian) did for USA in the last 100 years? That's very limiting. Let's start with taking in hundreds of stranded passengers on 9/11, housing them, feeding them.

androod2.bsky.social @androod2.bsky.social · 02/02/2025

If you honestly think that Canada never did anything for USA I suggest you open a book. What an embarrassing post for you.

@chuckdpe.bsky.social and RATM prepared me for the current political environment south of the border. I hope Canada does not follow suit. Trust none of them. Question everything.

There should be regulations regarding the labeling of game controllers. How am I supposed to switch from Nintendo to XBOX and back with this reverse naming?
