Yes it is. Though it leaves me scratching my head about how he came to be head of the No 10 Policy Unit under Thatcher.

A bell is a tiny expense but some people think it's rude. So I announce myself by speaking to them. And sure I am very occasionally asked "don't you have a bell?"

One of the extraordinary things about Harborne's Telegraph article is that he refers to climate change as one of the three existential threats facing humanity. How he thinks Reform can help deal with that, I have no idea.

Did you see the stuff in there about climate change? He thinks Reform are the party to do this? Thank goodness I wasn't eating my breakfast when I read this.

Andrew Walker @andrewwalker01.bsky.social · 13/09/2026
So he doesn't explicitly say Reform are the best option for addressing climate change, but that is rather the implication.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this in Christopher Harborne's piece in the Telegraph, in which he describes his donation to Reform as a "philanthropic gift to our country".

The most extraordinary 'proof of delivery' I have seen was a photo of one of those cages on wheels used in depots, with lots of packages in it. Perhaps it included the one that was allegedly delivered

They'd have had to designate under section 158 and then publicise the designation. Which does raise again the question of whether they didn't do that out of choice (for whatever reason) or because of an intelligence failure.

This Dude Accidentally Convinced the Internet that Finland Doesn’t Exist
The theory weaves in Japanese fishing routes, Nokia phones, and the Trans-Siberian Railway to prove that Finland isn't real.

They'll be back, the climate "skeptics", when we move into La Niña. The world's getting cooler, they will say. I hope I'm wrong.

The way Jim Allister has written this it seems to me that he is describing himself as an EU fanatic. Obvs not his intention but that is the structure of the sentence.

It is striking how just a few hundred meters from the East London Mosque there is a pub which calls itself "the most famous in Great Britain" (should probably be "infamous")

They are horrible to fit and also heavy and sluggish. But I liked them for commuting as the puncture protection was very good. One of the benefits of retirement is that I no longer use them.

Also looks like Labour had the largest share of 2024 voters who did not vote this time. Maybe some of that is people who don't like the things Labour has done to chase after voters switching to Reform. As far as I can see the Yougov polling has not looked at 2024 non-voters who may have been...

Quite pleased about this, as a Palace supporter. It means for both sides on Sunday the priority should be avoiding injury ahead of a European final. Glad we are not facing an Arsenal side that has to win. Oh and congrats.

I went through this at Gare du Nord on Sunday. Pretty painless though we arrived early so it wasn't busy and my EU citizen wife did get through a bit quicker than British me.
