I like link up climbs as newsworthy, because they're about volume, precision, planning, and fitness, rather than purely huge technical goals. Linkups can be done in local areas, too, and adds to the lore. Just had to write this down somewhere and thought some of you would appreciate.

I finished reading Tom Coyne's 'A Course Called Home.' After 'A Course Called Ireland', this is his best work. 'Ireland' was whimsical, but this one different: An ode to local golf courses, teamwork, and how golf brings enlightenment and purpose to troubled souls.

I'm at my junior player's tournament in the south. It's hot. She had a hard time last week in the north during the heatwave getting partners to play in the heat was difficult. They all went to the air conditioned club... So they were training on supplemental oxygen. #climbing #mountaineering

This morning I stepped outside, far from the Adirondacks of my childhood summers, and pleasant of memories came back, triggered by the dew and smell of pine. It was also overcast, which if I were actually surrounded by mountains, I couldn't see them. So for now, I believe they're here.
