The Problem With Power That Never Knows When to Leave
800-900 word blog introducing a podcast for Right and Freedom. The general summary is as follows:
It is easy to look at the problems facing the country and treat each one as a separate crisis: rising prices, cuts to social programs, military deployments, political polarization, government dysfunction, and the growing distance between elected officials and the people they represent. But when you step back, a common thread begins to emerge.

We have created a political system in which people can accumulate enormous amounts of power while becoming increasingly insulated from the consequences of how they use it.

That problem is bigger than any political party.

When I see little things like this, I think of Harper Rawls, protagonist in my Virtual Wars series, and the childhood she could have had. Then I write backstory and maybe this time, I'll give her a little time to play? Nah, probably not. Dystopian sci-fi has standards, lol!

My next blog post is about to drop in the morning on substack. Allow me to introduce a new form of government: the hipocracy. More tomorrow 😉. You are powerful.

I’ve heard the new regime occupying the people’s house called many things. Whether it’s kakistocracy, or aristocracy, or oligarchy, I think there’s one simpler made-up term that covers it better: hipocracy. I submit to you this new term and it’s definition.
