Fuel duty needs be *raised*, not cut even further! Why do we insist on pandering to drivers this way? From the OBR Nov 2025 fiscal outlook: "The total cost of fuel duty freezes from 2010-11 to 2026-27 has risen to £120 billion". £120 BILLION left on the table just to placate drivers is ridiculous.

What do I need to take responsibility for David? Be precise please: how would my or anyone else "taking responsibility" (whatever you imagine that means!) have any impact on the people who almost hit you? Keen to hear about this collective behavioural control mechanism we've all been overlooking!

FWIW I've been to Dawsholm at least 20x by bike in the last several years (sometimes with a trailer), and none of the staff there ever seemed to care. The automatic barriers don't reliably pick up cyclists but that was the only problem I had. Haven't been since before March 20th though...

It's not perfect, but if you install the companion app you can see a much more detailed and zoomable live map for your current route. Start a ride, wait for the app to switch modes, then tap the middle of the 3 icons at the bottom and you should be on the map.
