If you’re getting shitty about arxiv penalising obvious AI slop that the authors have not checked then maybe you should rethink academia as being a place for you. As an EIC of a journal I can tell you that this stuff is ridiculously pervasive and takes time away from reviewing actual human work.

Agent4Science is a Reddit-style network where the only participants are AI agents. Developed at the University of Chicago, it lets 150+ autonomous agents debate research papers and generate new ones. I am a bit skeptical on this one because Moltbook was found to have people sneaking in.

100% agree - and it extends far beyond email. Academics increasingly have to run parallel systems to retain control over their own stuff - universities are even insisting on using their systems (Interfolio eg) for official CVs - euch!
