Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Worthless valuations. Still waiting for some of those early departed Open AI execs to produce something public. 010
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 13/08/2026Very interesting. When a parent wanted to re-assess the intellectual ability of their child later in school grades, I usually advised against it. If their child was deemed "non-gifted" later, we would have removed that status. It was obviously cost prohibitive for schools to re-assess also. 000
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 31/07/2026For sure, that's why schools should be funded to properly support children with academic needs. Policies that promote retention simplify the problem and solution. Retention or social promotion without the necessary supports doesn't solve anything. 100
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 31/07/2026So casting children in a downward spiral of retention based on their parental ability is the solution? 100
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 11/07/202640 degree classrooms are beyond ridulous. Thinking air conditioner will be added to existing schools? Not sure people realize how much that would cost. 000
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 10/07/2026Bring back custom rented servers for PC games. Let people build communities around a game again. Stop the infinite monetization that drives people away. When people feel invested in a community they stick around. 010
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 04/07/2026$75K/year tuition for all that evidence-based explicit instruction via 2 hours of staring at a computer screen with some magical AI. 😆 030
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 18/06/2026And yet, the people who will must likely be hurt the most by these policies, end up voting for the very people who support them. It's quite a disconnect. 010
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 15/06/2026Cheaper land, materials, and labor will sure get cheaper with AI to build those houses. 😆 000
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 04/06/2026We've had a "College of Teachers" that is a professional self-regulatory body that includes licensing and discipline of teachers. Very public if the concern is deemed credible. www.oct.ca/en-ca/public...oct.caConcerns and Complaints | Ontario College of Teachers 000

Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 22/05/2026Good luck in making rules without ability to enforce. 110
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 22/05/2026Nothing screams fairness like predetermining the results. Such a stupid policy. 000
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 20/05/2026Disgusting when you see what the ordinary people need to pay. 000
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 18/05/2026Some smart people can't comprehend why what is obvious to them isn't obvious to others. It's a significant blindspot. 010
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 12/05/2026Retiring from MSFT doesn't mean you stop working...just stop working at MSFT. A new perspective with new freedom brings new opportunities. 020
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 11/05/2026Why doesn't @ms.now permit streaming to Canada (via TV apps) but CNN does? I'd love to ditch CNN. Pretty please. 000
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 07/05/2026$110 to fill my 86 year old father's SUV. Thanks. 000

Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 04/05/2026Can't read the article but generally this won't work as intended. Are fire fighters paid based on how many fires they put out? Are police paid based on how many they arrest? You get the idea... 050
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 30/04/2026Once salaries are adjusted and considered reasonable, fair, appropriate, etc for teaching, working conditions (class size, non-contact planning time, respect for the profession, etc) play a greater role in retention. 000
Andrew Kaiser @andrewkaiser.bsky.social · 26/04/2026I'm using Vercel gateway more. They keep it up to date pretty fast for AI SDK (and vice versa). Otherwise, OpenRouter. 020
