Could Super Furry Animals be Wales’s greatest ever band? I’ve seen them twice this month - a Welsh language set at the Eisteddfod, and a flawless setlist tonight at Dublin. Both fantastic performances

Ah, Pembroke Dock ferry terminal. I think this must be the inspiration for Severance
A dated kitchen serving area, long since disused, with an empty display cabinet and a cream counter top. There is a green carpet. I say green, but it’s the colour they use for cigarette packets

I am in Aberystwyth, which is one of my favourite places in the world, but typographically difficult to space

Might add a little postscript to my blog post series on Electronic Shelf Labels. I bought a four-colour one from AliExpress and managed to reverse engineer the image format
Me holding an Electronic Shelf Label in front of my laptop screen. Both the screen preview and the shelf label are displaying a picture of me in a coffee shop.

So I’ve made another font, 22 years after I last released one. Very proud of this one. I’m hoping to release it in the summer - all depends on admin shenanigans though. But watch this space.
A typeface specimen. The name, Sooker, runs down the right hand side. On the left, the seven different weights, from Light to Black.

Dusted off an old typeface experiment of mine, a horizontal contrast italic serif. Tidying it up and trying out a few uppercase letters. I'm starting to love it. It's weird but has the familiarity of old italics, so is surprisingly readable #typography
