I’m trying to have patience with all the sensitive people out there complaining about media becoming “too woke”. I’m trying so hard.

My Resident Evil hot take: I can’t believe people are saying the main character was relatable. I found him so infuriatingly stupid. Basically made the dumbest choice at every step. (Made for a more dramatic movie, for sure, but also made it really hard to care about the protagonist.)

Did you hear?! Fraggle Rock is back with an all-new holiday special this year! “Fraggle Rock: A Holiday Gift” drops December 4th on Apple TV. ❄️🎁 The world needs more Fraggles. The world needs more puppets. Fraggle Rock truly is the gift that keeps giving. And look: Icy Joe will be there! 💙

I think it’s the movie starting later than I originally wrote it. But I am also on the look out right now for scenes that aren’t earning their place!

Andrew G. Cooper @andrewgcooper.com · 26/09/2026

Wrote not one, but two new versions of the opening scene for my screenplay today. Now I’m preparing to cut out two other scenes from the top of the script. Writing is hard, but I’m finally feeling like Act One of this story is working!

Ask and ye shall receive! Enough people wanted to see it, so I'm finally sharing. Here's the full-length version of my horror short film STRANGERS. It's seven minutes longer and has *way* more monsters / puppetry in it. Give it a watch and please let me know what you think! youtu.be/i3ZbrDz5ER0

Thank you for your kind words! Great to hear things are working. And such a good point about the screen text. I originally made this for film festivals and have not at all thought about people watching on phones. Definitely gonna look into that and keep it in mind in the future.

It was VERY helpful. And there were definitely a few lines (and to be honest, a few scenes) that I wrote more for myself than for the actors. Very eye opening. I'm really excited to dive back into writing now!

I got to hear my feature screenplay read out loud by actors today, and I got to sit and watch my latest short film in a room full of friends. Today was a great day. Filmmaking really is all about community.
