Together, we can make Gungahlin the vibrant town that it should be. (3/3) #canberra #greens #gungahlin

That’s why I called on the ACT Govt to set ambitious local employment targets. We also need to actually enforce lease conditions for businesses who promise to build important community infrastructure like cinemas but just sit on the land. (2/3)

I love Gungahlin but we all know it could be better. Folks out there want a thriving nightlife, to work close to where they live, and maybe even go to the movies at a cinema in town. For too long government hasn’t done the hard work to make this a reality. (1/3)

We’ve had over a year of the botched rollout of MyWay+ and the ACT government is still making significant mistakes. They knew this change was coming two months ago. It’s not good enough and Canberrans deserve better. (2/2) #canberra #greens #publictransport

This morning, Canberrans were disappointed but not surprised to find the MyWay+ app had not been updated for the new public transport timetables. Why? Because there has been inadequate community testing and an overreliance on the competency of its contractor, NEC. (1/2).

But this government must do more than listen. They must actively engage with the ACT Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elected Body. The Greens will continue to fight for justice, self-determination and meaningful progress for First Nations peoples.

The ACT Greens welcome new legislation embedding Closing the Gap objectives into the ACT Public Service. This is a chance for the ACT Government to move beyond words, and to make a real difference in the lives of our First Nations peoples.

How can Canberrans trust Labor when they blew nearly $1 billion on outsourcing last year? That’s even more than Scott Morrison did in his final year as PM! The Greens are calling on the Government to reverse ALL cut orders and commit to rebuilding a strong, properly resourced public service.

Labor Are Putting Canberrans’ jobs at risk. Labor Minister Katy Gallagher told Canberrans during the federal election that Labor would protect the public service. She’s breaking that promise.

The Greens will be pushing for these upgrades, including a fast train from Canberra to Sydney because it makes sense. It’s cheaper, saves lives, and is good for the climate.

We spend tens of billions of dollars every year on roads in Australia meanwhile we have some of the slowest inter-city trains in the world. What’s in our way? The political will. All it takes are these Labor governments to come together and decide that we deserve better bang for buck.

There has been no apology, no accountability, and too many people - especially the most vulnerable, have been affected. That is why the ACT Greens successfully moved a censure motion against the Transport Minister.

Andrew Braddock MLA @andrewbraddock.bsky.social · 30/10/2025
Today I moved a motion to censure the Transport Minister over the MyWay+ debacle. A damning report revealed systemic failures under his watch. The world-class ticketing system that Canberrans were promised quickly fell apart, leaving people frustrated and confused.

In the ACT, I’m pushing a petition for the territory government to divest from Israel too. As elected politicians with billions to spend in the annual budget, we must do everything we can to ensure that no funds are supporting Israel’s genocide. Sign my petition via the link in my bio. (2/2).

This report confirms what we already knew - Israel is hell-bent on wiping out Palestine. Every government around the world must stop the arms trade and impose sanctions on the Israeli government. By allowing this deadly trade, Labor is complicit in genocide (1/2). www.abc.net.au/news/2025-09...

To Canberra’s multicultural communities - and to communities across the country - you have our full support today and every day. You are welcome, you are valued, and your contributions to our community and to Australia as a whole do not go unnoticed.

Our responsibility does not end at condemning racism - we must also be actively anti-racist, working to build a society grounded in unity, social cohesion and mutual respect. This is not only essential for the wellbeing of all Australians, but also central to creating a just and inclusive future.

Hate, fear and division have no place in our society. I strongly and actively reject this message of hate and reaffirm my commitment to standing with multicultural communities during this distressing time.

I unequivocally condemn the nation-wide anti-immigration rallies set to take place across Australia. The ‘March for Australia’ rallies seek to divide our community, but we know that diversity is our greatest strength, not a weakness.

For all those feeling despair, remember this: we are stronger together. These rallies are making a difference. We are dragging Labor to do the right thing because they are getting scared. Keep turning up to the rallies and join the Nationwide March for Palestine this Saturday.

Recognition won't stop the genocide. It won't give food to those dying of starvation. Australia must sanction Israel. We must end the two-way arms trade. Every day that Labor fails to do these things is another day they are supporting a genocide. There is no excuse.

On Saturday, thousands of Canberrans marched across Commonwealth Bridge to call for a Free Palestine. On Monday, the Prime Minister announced Australia would recognise Palestinian statehood. One thing is clear: people power works. This is a long overdue move and we have so much more to fight for.

Very disappointing that morning frost delayed Light Rail services today. If cities like Calgary and Ottawa can run light rail in the snow, why can’t we in Canberra? Our community in Yerrabi deserves better #canberra #actgreens

On his passing, I think of Ali’s continued advocacy for the rights of Palestinians to live free from violence and occupation. I think of his criticism of the complicity of governments and the media in the face of the genocide in Gaza. (3/4)

Over the weekend, we learnt of the passing of Ali Kazak, a proud and staunch Palestinian advocate. I had the honour of meeting Ali several times. His presence and advocacy in Canberra alone was incredibly inspiring. (1/4)

ACT Cabinet records won’t be released today - or even this year. That’s why I’m introducing a bill to fix this. It will ensure records are released within 30 days, and boost transparency, accountability and overall trust in our democratic institutions, which is needed now more than ever.

It takes 321 days to release cabinet papers. The Greens want it done in 30
Lengthy delays hold up release of cabinet papers even after 10-year embargo.
