Last call for The Catalyst on NetGalley! Today is the final day to request a digital review copy. If genetically modified humans, murder, conspiracy, and things going very wrong with DNA sound like your kind of read, now's your chance. NetGalley:https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/book/888531

Another image from the novel's serialization. I loved using Randall's anachronistic wardrobe pieces like this pocket watch. So out of place in The Catalyst's world.

I hate it when movies/TV shows put their protagonists in white outfits that never get dirty even during the bloodiest battles. I vow that my pro/antagonists will get dirty. And yes, this pic looks like it could be out of The Catalyst, but I took it at an event at the L.A. Zoo a couple of years ago.

It's Tuesday, so here's another picture from the series I drew for the novel's serialization. It's fun revisiting them, wondering how I managed to eke out new ones for 24 weeks in a row! This is for Kenneth's final appearance in the novel. #TeamKat.

This is a portrait of Kenneth Krause who has a small but vital role in the novel. Making new images each week reminded how valuable deadlines are and that the picture in my mind remains a far cry from the finished product. So sharing them meant letting go of perfection and accepting good enough.

I love animals and have always been surrounded by a menagerie. I even worked at a zoo with a variety of animals used in educational programs. Still, I don't think I'd want to mutate into one. How about you? Would you want to add animal DNA to your body? If so, what animal? #BioTechThriller #SciFi

Weekly drawings really challenged me. I don't have the skill set to knock things out fast, and I struggle with vision vs. what I can actually create. Also, creation vs. the story's description of the characters. Ricky is a minor character, but I'd like to tackle a drawing of him again. #TeamKat
