Realized I quite enjoy downhill mountain biking, so we went to check out Poley yesterday. Beautiful trails, and short or nonexistent lines for the chairlift. Best part? The restaurant serving amazing meals! Fish tacos on point. PMF got the blueberry arugula salad and I had some srs food envy.

For those visiting the HRM in the near future, I recommend the Crobster roll at “The Canteen on Portland” in Dartmouth near the ferry terminal. It was a busy spot for lunch on Tuesday, so I’d suggest reservations if you want to dine in.

In the six floor TD Tower garage, my car is ALWAYS scanned by the parking attendants within 5-10 mins of expiry. I’m not sure how it’s possible unless they track expiry times. Today was 3 minutes. HotSpot, once again, saved me from a $25 fine.

Yesterday had to drive around a motorized wheelchair user on Beaverbrook at 5pm, in traffic. 18 wheeler behind me. Is there not a way we can ensure sidewalks are appropriate for folks whose safety is at risk? The individual had to get up and walk just to turn on the crosswalk too #Fredericton

2024 in sum: Finished my HR degree after eight years of part time study, got a promotion into a job I love, kids are finally at a fun age, hiked among the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon which has been a lifelong dream. After a big year of change and transitions, there is much to look forward to in 2025.

So when’s the third Fredericton bridge coming? Almost could have walked home to Marysville faster from downtown than driving, but the trails are unlit, sketchy, and generally unsafe for 5’ tall women.
