No. Support comes with good governance conditions attached. Without it Ukraine will not reform fast enough to be eligible for further support down the road once the ceasefire is a reality. Just get on with it, even as the bombs fall.

He is just another ignorant clown in the rear line of clowns. Desperate to be relevant. For the main clown.

I totally agree with Lavrov on this goal. In particular, I like to prioritize east of Narva in 2026.

After the US administration TACOed on providing supplies nor licensing to Ukraine or EU countries, Europe needs to put much more resources, political pressure and even legal requirements on EU industry to solve this. We are missing the US legislation to force it here.

Very instructive diagram, thanks. Please point to posts that discuss the validity of the numbers. Perhaps adding distance to the frontline?

Amateur hour again, and a touch of dementia. Great combination. The US accepting this nonsensical administration is just baffling.

We need a whole lot of these missiles in all of EU, not only pointing east it seems lately. Being able to take war firmly home to autocrats seems to be necessary.

Keeping Russia busy with supplying Crimea without any real tactical value right now and starving any capability ahead is likely the most cost effective move right now.

They are still tapping off euros from the contributions paid by the Nordic countries to the EU. Why the f... shall I pay subsidies to anyone assisting anyone to threaten my security?

Tilliten borta.

So you are afraid of a series of trials with US citizens being accused of war crimes? And the fear has increased post various piracy and bombing activities? I like the EU to counter this by demanding a strict compliance to ICC for anyone receiving EU aid!

Why are you bringing this up again? To just annoy partners who lived with your apparent private backroom deals with the Russians? Well, you've been very successful designing the US out of future dominant tech positions in most of the free world. Donny boy, it will not happen. Epstein.

This is also a clear message to Europe. Who is going to fill the gap after a disintegrated Russia? We need to enable democratization, not a new imperial master. Tell Luke to fly to Brussels next.

Well, all people may not make the same calculations on their vacation travels. You may just have a different appreciation of room discounts. Or a really large number of filled petrol cans.

No they will not issue any credible attack. Only teasing. The reason is very simple. A major share of all oil sales is shipped out of the Baltic Sea. Guess they like to have that running. We should just do what the Turks did. Let them cross the border and then shoot the aircraft down, oops sorry

Sooner or later we will learn how stupid the US administration have negotiated everything related to Ukraine. That Putin now like to portray this as a betrayal is about the only thing we, the ones subscribing to democracy and a rules based order, can agree with.

Rutte is useful for some time until Europe has readjusted for the US betrayal. No reason to get upset by him playing along to "daddy" for now, on the contrary. As Rubio answers on Greenland belonging to Denmark. "For now..." Lots of things will change before Greenland is not Denmark. Incl US in NATO

Looking yourself in the mirror Xi? Accusing others for what you're doing more than anyone may havd been some illness you picked up by hanging around too much with your autocratic pals lately. Offer a demilitarisation pact instead. (Which you will not live up to anyways, but still. )

This is a valid point too, besides upholding the "Ruled based order" for EU membership. Most of us in the EU bordering Russia are willing to go an extra mile to have you in the tent, but we have seen all the problems with members that are politically and administratively inept.

Be careful with what you ask for Zel. You want to join a club who are not going to compromise on its approval process. In particular not after all nonsense with Orbanland. Ukraine is far from able to meet all requirements by a long shot. And for a considerable time. Yes, we want you in, but..

Typical banker analysis, using a MBA approach. We may instead have a Russian regime and implosion. Once financial reserves are finit and cash flow from oil down. No, big thing is what China wants post sending Trump off.

Whitaker is simply a sock puppet. A man with no independent ability. No understanding of what is in the NATO charter, nor how others interpret it. Not even smart enough to operate as a spokesperson with integrity. Come to think of what Tillerson said about Trump, moron.

Right, but the EU budget process (and a myriad of other processes) is not about that, even if our recognition of the importance of what Ukraine is doing is reflected in the cash flow. Only oligarchs and GOP in general seems to be keen on sabotaging EU inner workings.

Those dismissing this approach are either not appreciating the massive task Ukraine has in front of itself to be a functional member, both vs the EU mechanisms and internal capacity building, or the EU readyness to expand the number of non net contributors to the budget. Could be a good idea.

This is for Europe to deal with, NOT Ukraine. Make sure all associated companies and banks associated with the trade gets hit one way or the other. Make sure your politicians are prompted to act on this in the EU. Otherwise it will just grow. The Russian minority is too much to ignore.
