Morning coffee. 10 degrees colder compared to yesterday, light rain, and air that is easy to breath.

What makes a welcoming community? For the third time, I think, I just paid for Glass. The interesting thing is that there have been quite a lag between when my subscription ends and when I renew it. Both times I have thought that "Well, Glass is nice, but […] [Original post on thoresson.social]

@kallekn Hmm. Inser att min lilla Pixelfed-instans inte dragit in någon av dina bilder sedan augusti. Och bara två totalt. @doktorzjivago @aslakr

It is amazing how easy it is to do small tweaks to a site built with #11ty! Ten minutes, eight lines of code in the template, one new key in the frontmatter. And now there are cross-links between posts that I publish in both English and Swedish! 🇸🇪 🔗 🇬🇧 […] [Original post on thoresson.social]

@marci I’m on iOS with @Vivaldi as my default browser. I just noticed that if I copy the link and open it in Safari, I get the option to add it to Surf. See screenshots for comparison.

[Original post on thoresson.social]

Wonderful! I have now managed to lock myself out from my #Pixelfed server due to #2FA problems! 🤣 But when I gave admin access to one of the other users, she can't do any password/security changes to my account. Should there be? Or is there a command to run from CLI? #fediverse #selfhosted

I'm trying to import an Instagram export to #Pixelfed, but get this error. The popup shows immediately, so it doesn't seem plausible that my Pixelfed server have actually had a look in the archive to come to this conclusion. What could possibly be wrong? #fediverse #selfhosted

On mobile I get a list with trending hashtags and can click through to see photos. So it seems like it’s search that is broken, not hashtag analytics or federation, right? #pixelfed #fedihelp #fediverse #selfhosted

The #pixelfed server I manage have well over 30k know hashtags listed in the admin dashboard, but they aren't searchable. Shouldn't they be? #fedihelp #fediverse #selfhosted

I just got #Llama 3.2 Vision running locally, using #Msty, on my MacBook Pro M1. It's not fast, and perhaps not as good, as doing the same using one of the big cloud services. But the gut feeling is that it is more resource efficient. So, looking for […] [Original post on thoresson.social]

I really appreciate the innovation that happens throughout #fediverse (on top of the protocols) at the moment. This is one great example; @phanpy's beta feature Catch Up. When you have been away from your #Mastodon feed for a while, Catch Up lets you do […] [Original post on thoresson.social]
