More so now, we live in a world of "cost based on what the market can bear". As long as the consumer is willing to pay, the supplier will increase the price. It is a better bet, potentially losing up to half my customers, if I double my profit margin. Consumers control the prices.

Several problems arose that I had to get my technically challenged in laws (80+ y.o.s) off Windows. They don't deal well with change. Loaded his/her computers with Linux Mint, expecting huge problems. Actually, there were very few. Linux is like ice cream. People have different "tastes".
