"Why don't you make RuneScape videos if you love the game so much?" Because nobody wants to watch me do stuff like this for months at a time.

Me, preparing a Powerstab to kill a bunch of approaching sanguine bogolins.

I think the whole premise of RuneScape 4 means that Guthix's veil over Ashenfall is going to be destroyed at some point.

Got the Vital Drain ability. Going to skip Vampyre Slayer (for now) and focus on getting Sanguine Offering. Or Hawthorn's hatchet could appear instead...as if. :p

Text from RuneScape, verbatim:
"Unlocks the Vital drain (sic) ability.
GE guide price: 215,802,588 coins each
You've unlocked the 'Vital Drain' ability."

This is the part of RuneFest I was talking about. I have no idea what else it could be other than Zaros commanding Azzanadra to help him return to Gielinor. Please let that be it because this would literally be the greatest thing to happen since the Edicts falling. www.youtube.com/live/8NHOgek...

So when I worked on my last job's Innovation team, we advised the company against heavy use of AI for reasons like this. But they went harder into AI than most companies so im excited to see our concerns go unanswered.

If they ever do restructure quests it would help contextualise those events to people who weren't around for it. Would also show the current team actually care about the 6th Age Storyline/quest direction post world wakes. I will never not be salty about the decisions made in Twilight of the Gods.

Doubt it'll ever happen but kinda wish Jagex would take the time to reformat old world events into RS3. Make them more quest-like, solo accessible and playable again, so new players don't just pass the likes of Missing Presumed Death and be like "wait, when tf did Bandos die?"

20 total forgotten caskets dug up. This was my best one so far, I think.

A forgotten casket with a total value of 1,689,794 coins' worth of items in the chest.

Shit, if I actually have a non-zero chance of attending RuneFest, I'm going to need a costume. And no, I'm not going as Geno. As much as I love him, he's not a RuneScape character. I would like to do a set of RuneScape 3 Armadyl armor if that's something I could do. Probably not, though.

Week one of map hunting. 17 maps completed so far. I know it's stupid to expect Hawthorn's hatchet already, but I was hoping that the regular loot wouldn't be so lackluster...

020

An Aviansie | Zaros is returning?!! @anaviansie.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

My toxic trait is that I put a lot of my self-worth into what people think of me, so if one person thinks I'm a stupid asshole, I will ruminate on that for weeks. Even if everyone else is like "You're cool, I like you." Okay, so I have a lot of toxic traits, but that's the main one.

Well, the good news is that my car payments will be ending permanently within the year. About 10 months from now, if I'm not mistaken. So I can actually start saving up to go to RuneFest...once all this drama blows over. It won't be next RuneFest, but maybe the one after?

Following the controversy that Jagex's Dragon Slayer 2 video made, they posted this to reddit. The short version of the story is that they had a trusted external partner make the animation, who promised no generative AI use. Despite this, they clearly used it anyway. www.reddit.com/r/runescape/...

Godvernondevlammestemiljaarde jagex I was only listening to the rs3 preview thing yesterday and arguably it goes rather fast. But why the botanybay banished hell did they use a clanker(so botting) to make the dragonslayer II trailer?!

okay getting this all in one post: The Runescape Dragon Slayer 2 trailer - www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kcd8... Uses AI art throughout. 1st image - 6 fingers 2nd - 2 right hands and wearing fucking nikes 3rd - more finger than hand & other arm is a malformed stump 4th - melting windows

a knight with 6 fingers on one hand from the trailer

a knight in mid air from the trailer with two right hands and wearing what looks like modern day nike shoes or similar

a man and woman running toward the camera, the mans right hand is a blob with extra long fingers and his left barely exists

buildings from the trailer where the windows are supposed to have a cross pattern over the glass but the pattern just melts into nonsense

for the most part, im tired of this weird "get a load of this guy" attitude that's given to rs3 either rs3 grows a fucking backbone and takes pride in itself, or it gives up, because this isn't the way to get people actually curious about the game

the reignited thing is not only deeply confusing but also pretty upsetting like how am i suppose to recommend rs3 to friends if they get confused and go with a reignited account thereby making it impossible for me to group with them in later content

1113

An Aviansie | Zaros is returning?!! @anaviansie.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Alright, overall. Aside from one *really* bad point in Reignited, it looks pretty good for the most part. Dragon Slayer 2 doesn't really do much for me, one way or the other, but everything else looks great.

Finally, after 1274 kills, mostly on task. Stupid pasta bats.

An ugly, poo-brown box that reads:
"COLLECTION LOG UPDATED

Additionally, there is a picture of the ring to the left, which is blood red and has a gray, fang-shaped gem on it.

Genuinely, this is what bothers me the most, it's fundamentally changed my relationship with art where I'm greeting it initially with skepticism and scrutiny, I never want to feel that way about art.

So, uh, turns out the new hero item, Hawthorn's hatchet, is on a hidden collection log. Anyone got any of that immortality? It's probably gonna take me hundreds of years to get one.

So, as Havenhythe's story draws to a close and Vampyrium comes nearer, I expect a fight against the Chimera Queen at some point. However, I still can't shake the feeling that going to a world without the Edicts, while most of you have lost your powers and pissed off Zamorak in the process...

Wild lore theory time: The giant dead snake in Shuruk-Ba is Juna's sister. When Guthix lured Tuska over to Juna's home world, he was only able to save two eggs. One was Juna. The other was stillborn and Guthix, in his guilt, buried the egg where he thought nobody would find it.
