His face got a little redder as Katara moved in closer, but he would follow suit, inching closer as well. “Well… then I guess I’ll have to just keep doing what I do… but that also applies to you too. I need you, Katara. You’re mean just as much to me.” +

“I like to think so too…” He says as he looks into the far off distance. “I really hope that’s the case…”

The blush grew only a little bit, as she leans against him, but he just smiles. “… Do you think we’ll be like this for the rest of our lives…? Y’know, just you and me… leaning on each other…”

He then turned his head, looking at her with a smile s light pink hue burning on his cheeks. “… I’d like that… a lot…”

A light chuckle. “Well, I better make sure I don’t die then. Wouldn’t wanna feel the wrath of my water bending teacher.” He slightly slit his hand over, his pinkie capturing her. “… I missed this. Moments of just being able to sit and laugh with you just like this.”

“Hey, don’t sell yourself short. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have one of these skills.” He says as he splashes some of the water back.

“Victory. Maybe hanging out after we’re done and just relaxing. I feel like we’ve earned it after all.”

“Well, helping people /is/ what I do. I /am/ the Avatar after all.” He decided to be a little playful as well. Even if what he said wasn’t entirely untrue.

“Not as weird as you may think… but there’s also some good that comes with that. Yeah, it’s a lot more stressful now, but we’ve matured. And we’ve come a long way. And more importantly, we’re still here together… clearly that means we were more ready for this than we thought.” +

“… Maybe you should take a minute. Just find a minute to breathe it out. I can tell that all of this fighting and the level of danger we’re dealing with is getting to you. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure nothing bad happens. At least nothing we can’t get out of.”

“We’re gonna get through this, Katara. I promise. Then everything can go back to normal. I know it’s a lot, but we all need each other if we want this to be over.”

“Wow! And here I thought metal bending was as revolutionary as it was gonna get! You’re really something else, Toph!” He says as he was impressed. “Alright! Let’s take these guys down!” +

“Magma bending…!?” He says as he begun to fly upwards, giving Toph more room to magma bend. “When did you learn that!?”

He was a bit caught off guard hearing the voice of his friend. “Toph!” Good lord was he happy to see her.

“Unfortunately, I have nothing…” He says as he punched the ground as hard as he could, creating two ginormous walls. He then pushed outwards, sending the walls towards the titans to push them back, trying to create some kind of distance. +

And in trouble he was. Despite being in the avatar state, he was getting tired. More and more titans seemed to be coming by, and he was getting a bit overwhelmed.

The airbender wasn’t too far behind, having already entered the avatar state as he arrived shortly after Rainbow Dash did. “SORA!” He dives down, assisting Rainbow Dash and Sora with the titans by pushing his arms out, sending two ginormous gusts of winds to send the titans flying. +

“Yeah, my only concern is if we fell too far behind or not… Oh who am I kidding!? It’s us! We totally got this! You, me, AND Sora? We haven’t lost together yet! Not even once!”

“Couldn’t have said it better myself, Rainbow. Besides, what kind of friends would we be if we didn’t offer a hand when it was needed? Especially in times like this.”
