Fall garden planting happening this morning before the rain arrives. NC’s winters are pretty mild compared to our winters a decade ago. We still get some single digits for a week here or there but row covers protect them and most of these veggies will survive til next spring. #gardening

Saw my first Giant Swallowtail Butterfly on our property. Visiting annual thithonia blooming alongside the goldenrods and asters. I started some common rue from seed approx 6 years ago and have a population of it growing in our meadow. Maybe just maybe, I’ll see some caterpillars 🤞
