Only started learning Godot last month, so I'm really proud with how this turned out. I genuinely think it's really good, maybe the best game I ever worked on. My high score is 84108 by the way, in case anyone cares, heh.

Oh nooo, hahaha To be clear, I do like a lot of what The Sekimeiya does in terms of concepts and mysteries. ... my intense dislike for how it handled character writing WAS also one of my main motivations behind starting Anamnesia, though.

It's really difficult to accept that I'm not going to make any good progress on Anamnesia at the moment, and that I have to allow myself to work on other things for the time being. It feels so wrong. Like I'm breaking a promise by making people wait. But I just think I kinda need it for now. Ugh.

I AM one of the very few people who dislike Rain Code even more than UDG. Although that isn't necessarily due to UDG being so much better, but more so because it's at least more entertaining, while Rain Code had large stretches of me just being bored out of my mind.

It's funny example, because that's kinda already happening. Pure VNs with comparatively bigger budgets are exceedingly rare - they're almost always genre-hybrids, while most full on VNs are being made in Indie or lower budget spaces.
