Nuno Mendes has the highest API of all 30 Ballon d'Or nominees👀 Messi also scores highly, but can you really win the Ballon d'Or playing outside Europe?🤔 Yamal, Olise and Fernandes all rank highly, but Bruno is trophyless. Kane's API, despite scoring for fun, is fairly average. Who deserves it?

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

£34m gets you the BEST No.10 in the Premier League?👀 That's the fee Man City paid for Cherki. He comfortably ranks 1st in my API🔝 Bruno Fernandes is 2nd, then there's a huge gap to the rest. Foden is the best of the rest, followed by Enciso and Wirtz😮 Who is the best No.10 in the PL?

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

What's Harry Kane's BEST season? Could he win this year's Ballon d'Or after registering: ⚽️ 64 goals 🎯 8 assists? A personal favourite was 20/21. He won the Premier League golden boot AND playmaker awards🤯 If only England won the Euros that summer... but the less said about that, the better😅

Who is taking the highest-quality shots? DCL and Brobbey are recording the highest npxG/shot. Haaland combines a high npxG/shot with the highest shots/90🤖 But perhaps most interesting is Semenyo. Lowest npxG/shot Lowest shots/90 3 goals. Imagine if his shot quality starts to improve😮

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Is Brentford's record signing the BEST CM in the Premier League?👀 The data can make that case. But a full PL campaign is a big test💪 Anderson ranks 2nd. His £116m move to City was a huge fee, but his underlying numbers place him above most. Who’s your favourite?

001

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Underperforming by NINE positions?😮 Nottingham Forest are: 3rd on xPts. 12th in the table. Meanwhile, Newcastle are overperforming by ELEVEN positions: 9th in the table. 20th on xPts😬 Heading into the international break... Who'll be happy with their position relative to performance?

£34m for the BEST No.10 in the Premier League?👀 That's what Man City paid for Cherki. He ranks 1st in my API🔝 Bruno Fernandes is 2nd, then there's a huge gap to the rest. Maybe Foden and Wirtz aren't performing as poorly as some think🤔 Who do you think is the best No.10 in the Premier League?

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

HORROR day for North London😬 Spurs fail to win. And Arsenal were DEMOLISHED by Brighton. The data favoured Arsenal, finishing the game with a chance-based win probability of 43% compared with Brighton's 32%👀 Another excellent performance and top class finishing from the Seagulls👏

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Will it EVER get better for Spurs?😬 Everything seems to be going against them, Although Villa did create the better chances and deserved to win. Their chance-based win probability peaked at 50%. The timing of Villa's goals was BRUTAL for Spurs. Where do Tottenham go from here?

010

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Newcastle and Villa have been the WORST teams in the league so far?🤯 That's what the Premier League xPts table suggests as of Gameweek 4. Arsenal 1st. Brighton 3rd. Despite 0 goals and 4 defeats for Coventry, it's actually Newcastle who sit in 20th😮 Whose position surprises you the most?

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Manchester is BLUE 🔵 What a performance from Man City with 10-men. Great finish from Haaland🤖 Although VAR was at the centre of everything... AGAIN🙁 Based on chance creation, City probably deserved the win. But Mbuemo HAD to score that chance at the end😬

010

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Who is the BEST RB in the Premier League? The eye test? Probably Reece James👁️ The data? Reece James😅 He ranks highest in my API📈 Porro ranks second, despite playing for a team that finished 17th😮 Dedić also boasts an impressive score, but can he maintain this level in the Premier League?

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Fernandes or Cherki - Who'll decide the derby?👀 Among 20 Premier League No.10s, both sit in at least the 95th percentile for assists and chance creation🤯 Cherki ranks 1st for dribbles/90. Fernandes ranks ahead of 79% of the group for defensive contributions/90. Will Manchester be Red or Blue?

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

What's Luis Suárez's BEST season? 09/10 goes under the radar 🥷 No wonder Liverpool snapped him up. 13/14 is a personal favourite. The things he was doing that season were abnormal🤯 Individually, it has to be 15/16. 81 G/A makes Messi (61) and Ronaldo (66) look average from that same season😅

011

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

BEST CB in the Premier League? Vuskovic and Jacquet are top performers📈 Although their API uses non-PL data. I wouldn't bet against Brighton's recruitment though😅 VVD ranks highest among the rest. Is he still the best CB in the Premier League? Who do you think the data gets right and wrong?👇

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Premier League xPts table as of Gameweek 3 📈 Arsenal pull ahead after their fantastic performance against Chelsea Newcastle and Hull sit 19th and 20th 😮 Should they be concerned? Fulham being on 0 points at this stage is quite unfortunate given their performances. Will Arbeloa come good?🤔

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

Rice or Caicedo?🤔 A NEVER-ENDING debate😅 Ultimately, there isn't a definitive answer. Both excel in different areas. Caicedo leads the defensive metrics. Rice performs better in terms of chance creation and winning possession high up the pitch. Who would you rather have in your team?👇

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Deserved win for Liverpool? A 0-2 victory suggests so ✅ But in terms of chance creation, there was little between the sides. Both finished the match with a win probability of around 30% The probability of a draw was around 40% 🤝

£327M LATER 🤑 Comparing percentiles across 15 midfield transfer targets... Fernández is 1st in: xG Chances created Anderson compliments this ranking 1st in: Duels won Recoveries Poss won final 3rd Bouaddi (18yo) offers huge potential Is this the BEST midfield in the Premier League this season?👀

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Important win for The Gunners✅ It wasn't a vintage Arsenal performance, but they got the job done. They limited Villa to: No shots after the 70th minute 0 shots on target all game😬 Hard fought, but probably deserved 3 points in the end for Arsenal.

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Strong Performance from Man City tonight 💪 Much improved from the community shield match a couple of weeks ago. Albeit, a different level of opponent. 2 defeats in 2 for The Eagles 🦅 Should they be worried?

010

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 28/08/2026

Will Emi Martínez be the answer to Chelsea's goalkeeping problems? Martínez looks like a clear upgrade in shot-stopping🧤 Save percentage: 70th percentile vs 35th Goals prevented/90: 65th vs 50th But other metrics, including erros leading to goals, favour Sánchez😬 Is Martínez the answer?🤔

010

Would this be a good deal for Liverpool?

020

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

Sanchez’ underlying data is quite good, but whenever you watch him you can’t help but think Chelsea NEED to get this deal over the line 🧤

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 25/08/2026

Who were the best and worst performers at the weekend? Brighton DEMOLISHED Villa📈 Brentford also impressed. Tottenham and Coventry join Villa in the bottom 3. Bournemouth lost narrowly to Man City late on, but 0.45xPts is the worst outside of the bottom 3 so far. Who are you surprised by?👇

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 23/08/2026

Who is the more natural Rodri replacement?🤔 City have already signed Elliot Anderson... But does their pursuit of Bouaddi suggest he could be the better fit? I calculated each player's Rodri Similarity Score👇 Anderson - 83 Bouaddi - 75 Who do you think fits the Rodri role more naturally?

000

Are TALLER teams are BETTER at defending set pieces?🤔 The Premier League data suggests otherwise👀 The relationship is WEAK, but actually points in the OPPOSITE direction to what many would expect😱 Coaching and defensive structure may have a far greater influence than simply having taller players😲

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Who is the BEST Goalkeeper in the Premier League? Is it James Trafford?🤔 He ranks highest in my API📈 He's also just 23👶 Interestingly, the 4 highest-rated GKs all have non-PL data incorporated into their API. This raises the question... Can they maintain those levels of performance in the PL?👀

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

Have Manchester United secured a good deal for Carlos Baleba?🤔 If the player arrives with the same form he showed last season, then maybe not😬 However, if Baleba can re-discover his 24/25 levels, this could be an excellent signing from United💰 How would you rate United's new midfield trio?👇

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 19/08/2026

The Championship is BACK😍 Great comeback from Burnley, who finished the match with a 60% win probability. Definitely deserved at least a point! West Ham will be FURIOUS after letting their 2-goal lead slip. Maybe Burnley aren't going to let West Ham and Wolves run away with the league this year👀

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 16/08/2026

NOT the start Maresca would've wanted😬 Total domination from Arsenal, with City's win probability maxing out at just 15%📉 Tzolis looked very impressive, he could be one of the signings of the summer. Could Arsenal go B2B in the Premier League?👀

010

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Which CB is the SMARTEST signing? Comparing my API vs reported transfer fee... Struijk offers the most performance per € spent🟢 Vuskovic ranks highest overall⭐ Both have joined Brighton. Maybe they've been using my API😅 Which signing has impressed you the most?👇

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 10/08/2026

How will Newcastle fare this season? Stylistically, Matthias Jaissle looks to be a suitable successor. Over the past 3 seasons, Jaissle's sides display a greater % passes long, and fewer passes per shot. Other metrics are very similar, with xG difference being the only exception.

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

But here's what's most fascinating... In 19/20, KDB equalled the PL assist record with 20 assists. He did it with: 136 chances created 33 big chances created In 25/26, Bruno broke the record with 21 assists. He did it with: 136 chances created. 33 big chances created. EXACTLY the same 🤯

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 08/08/2026

Bruno Fernandes and Kevin De Bruyne 🐐 How do they compare? Interestingly, De Bruyne outperforms Bruno Fernandes in almost EVERY per 90 metric I looked at. I found that surprising. However, a metric Bruno wins: Minutes played per club league game. Bruno's availability or De Bruyne's output?🤔

100

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

What was Neymar's BEST season?🤔 For total output, 15/16 was crazy🤯 But in 14/15, he bagged 39 goals⚽️ AND A treble 🏆 🏆 🏆 That could take the crown. His most efficient season was 17/18, where he averaged almost 1.5 goal contributions PER GAME. It's a shame injuries derailed his career🤕

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

I guess if a player doesn’t want to be there, you’re better off getting rid now, for maximum value. If he doesn’t want to be there, stays and has a poor season, his value will only go down. It does seem crazy though!

110

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 04/08/2026

110

Will Brighton, Bournemouth & Sunderland suffer from European football?🤔 Recent history suggests points will decline. But more worryingly, so will performances😬 Clubs see huge drop-offs in xG diff📉 Should these clubs should prioritise the Premier League, or aim to win a trophy?🏆

000

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 01/08/2026

Rogers and Palmer's non-penalty goals/90 are almost identical, despite Palmer generating far more non-penalty xG. Rogers clearly has a habit of scoring bangers😅 Defensively, Rogers comes out on top. This could be key in allowing Palmer to re-discover his scintillating form from the 23/24 season👀

050

Analytico FC @analyticofc.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

How much does a higher wage bill impact league position?👀 Unfortunately, quite a lot💰 The overall trend is clear. The top 5 clubs had five of the six highest wage bills. There are always exceptions (Bournemouth, Brentford, Sunderland) who show that smart recruitment matters🧠 But money wins🤑
