Well, now that I’ve seen the results, I say that this year’s Oscar went pretty well. I did a little bingo the day before trying to predict what would win or who I wanted to win and today I woke up to pretty satisfying results. There was one or two that I wish were different but it was satisfying.

issues had cover art by Neal Adams since they have such different styles but I guess since he was a very popular artist at the time he was chosen to attract more readers. A modern equivalent would be Evan Shaner doing the cover of a Brett Booth book, which did happen and was also very bizarre.

The early years stories are a fun mix captain America, spider-man and Thor. Contrary to the popular consensus I think CB’s first costume is pretty cool, both in color and in the B&W stories. It has enough detail/accessories to make distinct from other heroes while also having a distinct silhouette.

After a month’s worth of recommendations, I finally watched Kpop Demon Hunters and yes, it’s pretty excellent. Even I, who has the slimmest understanding of kpop immediately loved the songs. They have been talking about the pope thing on tv all day and in a true moment of scrapping for content they had a live feed of the chimney while two reporters and a priest talked about the conclave. It honestly looks like the chimney is positioned like the a slug to counteract queer stuff.

is a shame because if you don’t know, it’s incredible surprising. What made it worse for me, was that I had seen an image of the characters looking at a fire that happens during the last 20 minutes and honestly the film doesn’t help itself by having the opening scene happen after 90% of the story.

I saw nosferatu and it was awesomesauce. All the actors gave subtly exaggerated performances and I loved how it remixed the story of the 1922 movie to make it closer to the Dracula book than any other movie. Also this is the Dracula story that most explores the psychosexual elements of vampirism.

This arc really makes it seem that having the dragon balls as made goku devalue human life. Continuing the point about vegeta once babidi is killed, he returns to being conscious of his actions so to pay for helping resurect buu, he says goodbye to everyone and sacrifices himself. To be Continued

Also goku's logic is almost ”if i'm not there to help maybe the problems wont appear.” It feels almost made to be undone, but I must admit that after what happened last year it has more impact.

It’s funny how goku returns from space with a strange pirate uniform, that was then used for every inhabitant of that planet when they are shown. Vegeta literaly kicks goku while hes down, prouds himself on being pure evil and tells him he still wants to kill him. All the androids are cool.

For goku, super sayan puts the anger he had when fighting his more evil villains in the forefront. kaio spells out goku's biggest flaw is wanting to fight the strongest guy he knows as much as possible, which continues to this day. gohan at the end has the goofiest bowlcut mullet ever.

Since I´m talking about the tournamente fighter I could mention a fun theory about one of then: Pamput. In case you dont know, he is a young curly haired fighter full of ego, he quickly loses is fight to goku and in the next arc is presumely killed and revived like the other former contestants.
