What a surprise! On April 19, 2026, at an event celebrating the new Duke book on the late Sarah Keys Evans -- RIDING INTO HISTORY -- the Major Reading Blount Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented an award & medal honoring this civil rights hero (to be sent to her sister).
