Minnesota State officials (BCA) had a SIGNED warrant from an independent judge to investigate the shooting. DHS DENIED them access to the scene and said they would investigate themselves. This is unconstitutional and any conclusion DHS comes to can’t be trusted.

In the military, we would say “Glory be with General Saint Mattis.” The man is a force, and a force of good. He clearly put two things before the mission - his troops and his country. Unlike our current commander in chief, what he has to say holds weight.

Those were some of my favorite classes. Plus they laid the foundation for greater learning in other areas of study. Adding the logic/logical fallacies focus would definitely be a step above. It’s a shame colleges lose professors who bring the most insight because they need a culture of learning.

My husband and I were just discussing this when you posted your comment. He reminded me that my knowledge of the population is often limited to my own experience. I was lucky to go to college just before it truly transitioned to the business over knowledge model. What it’s become is truly shameful.

I was a federal employee. I would have taken an indefinite unpaid furlough to fight back. And I suspect many of my colleagues would as well. I can figure out how to make do for a month or two. I won’t stand for the rest of the country having to do so at even greater expense for a year+.

I’d like to say this is total nonsense. But I saw Jan 6. I’ve watched live streams of LA. I’ve seen ICE roll ups. And like frogs in a pot of water, the heat’s only going to get worse as we’re slowly brought to a boil. Slowly, so the American people are desensitized to the violence.

There are some well-educated people in cults, though. I think this is deeper than that. The right has tapped perfectly into propaganda and messaging.Plus they’ve combined that with the use of bots, AI, as well as info flooding distortion. Even educated folks can easily fall into the traps.
